Well, that’s one thing that I don’t have to immediately worry about.
I turn to Streak, arching a brow. “Derek?”
“Still just going to work and home. He goes out sometimes to bars or restaurants but nothing unusual.”
I nod, turning back to Storm.
At the very least, he’s still in town. If he had gone off the radar as soon as Raya was moved, I would have lost my shit. Storm nods before banging the gavel on the table, dismissing us. I push to my feet, eager to get back to my girl and finally find a way to convince her to move in with me.
I know she said she needed time.
But I’m too goddamn impatient for all that.
Maybe I’ll tie her to the bed and tease her until she finally says yes. Because here’s the thing, I think she wants to say yes. I saw it in her eyes when I asked her last night but something is stopping her. So, I just need to find a way to break past that barrier.
I can’t stop the grin from spreading across my face as I walk out of the clubhouse and head for my bike.
Oh, this is going to be fun.
My mind is spinning with ideas to torment my beautiful girl on the way back to the house and when I pull up out front, I’m more than ready to start acting them out. I told her to wait for me in bed, naked, and she damn well better be there.
Or I’ll start by spanking her ass.
The thought of her perfect backside turning pink and bouncing under my hand makes my dick jump.
“Baby,” I call as soon as I step through the front door, dropping the key to my bike on the little table Lennon insisted we get when we went furniture shopping.
Nothing.
I frown as I peel my cut off my shoulders and lay it on top of the island.
Maybe she went back to sleep.
After taking the stairs two at a time, I saunter into the bedroom and stop short. The bed is empty, the sheets still all messed up from this morning. I look over at the open bathroom door.
“Len?” I call, walking closer to the bathroom. I don’t even get to the doorway before I’m certain that she’s not in there either.
The fuck?
Her duffel bag is still in the corner of the room and the scraps of the panties I tore off her last night lying in a heap on the floor.
“Lennon,” I yell louder, my voice echoing through the house. My phone buzzes in my pocket and I pull it out. It’s a notification for the cameras at the apartment above the bakery.
Lennon.
I open the app and watch as Lennon pulls her Jeep into her usual parking spot in the alley. My gaze jumps to the time stamp.
Six minutes ago.
Lennon jumps out of the Jeep, a wide smile on her face as she grabs a couple of broken-down boxes out of the passenger seat.
I stare at the video, my mind racing.
Holy shit.
Is she?
“What are you doing, baby?” I whisper. She carries the boxes up to her apartment door and disappears inside. I flip to the interior cameras but every feed I bring up is blank.
