“This is your master plan?” I ask with a laugh. She waves her hand through the air, dismissing my question.
“It’s a work in progress.”
A smile slowly stretches across my face as I imagine doing just that. “Wouldn’t it be so funny if I just moved all my shit in and didn’t say anything? How long do you think it’d take him to notice?”
“Two fucking seconds,” she scoffs. “That man watches you like a hawk.”
The more the idea rolls through my mind, the more I like it. It probably wouldn’t take him long to notice but before he did, he’d be going crazy, trying to convince me to move in. Not realizing that I already have.
“Oh, I know that look,” Morgan says and when I look back at my phone, she has a devious smile on her face. “My best friend is plotting something.”
“I gotta go, Morgs,” I tell her, grinning as I throw the blanket off my lap. “I’m moving in with my man.”
“Yes,” she yells through the phone, pumping her fist into the air and I blow her a kiss before hanging up and tossing my phone back to the bed. I get dressed quickly and head downstairs.
I’ll have to be quick so I can get back here before he does. And I probably won’t have time to set up all my stuff today before church is over so I’ll have to find a place to hide it. But I can’t help giggling to myself as I imagine him losing his mind over the next day or two until he realizes what I’ve done.
Oh, this is going to be so good.
Chapter Thirty-Four
Rooster
As soon as I step into the front door of the clubhouse, Storm steps out of his office. His eyes land on me and he stops, crossing his arms over his chest as he studies me.
Shit.
The last time he saw me, I was completely out of control.
“You good?” he asks, his eyes narrowed like he’s expecting me to explode at any minute. I nod, running a hand through my hair.
Fuck.
I hate that I lost my shit like that but especially in front of my brothers.
“Yeah,” I tell him, meeting his eyes. “I’m all good now.”
“He just needed his lady love,” Jumper says, taunting me with a waggle of his brows and I roll my eyes.
“Dude,” I start, turning to him. “Don’t make me follow through about the matching eye thing.
He scoffs. “You wouldn’t.”
“Wanna bet?”
“Yeah,” he fires back, his voice full of confidence. “I’m not standing between you and Lennon right now and I’ll never make that fucking mistake again.”
I arch a brow and level a glare in his direction. “Good choice.”
“I can’t believe you mangled my face, man. What did we say about fucking up my best asset?”
“Jump,” Storm sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Don’t make me start agreeing with Rooster.”
“Man, everyone is always trying to beat me up,” he whines as he turns and starts walking toward the chapel doors. Gear meets him at the doorway and shoots him a look.
“Yeah, ‘cause you don’t bring on any of that.”
He smirks. “Don’t know what you’re talking about, brother.”
