She’s right.
Those last few weeks, I was so done, so fed up.
And I had already started changing.
Already paving the way for me to leave.
“Besides, can you really see Dalton accepting that?” she adds and I snort out a laugh, shaking my head.
No.
Dalton would be the first one to kick my ass for neglecting myself.
“No,” I say, meeting her gaze. “He wouldn’t.”
She nods. “Exactly. So, how are you gonna tell him that you’ve decided to move in?”
“Oh, just like that, huh?” I ask and she arches a brow.
“Lenny, I love you so very dearly.” She pins me with a look. “But you have a tendency to overthink the hell out of shit.”
I gasp loudly and playfully glare at her. “Well, I have to make up for your radical spontaneity.”
“Fair,” she says, twisting her lips as she looks away from the camera. “Speaking of which… I’ve decided to move to Baton Rouge.”
I stare at her for a second, blinking three times in a row.
“What?”
She laughs. “Oh, the look on your face right now is so funny.”
“Are you messing with me?” I ask her and she shakes her head, a wide smile splitting her face.
“I miss you too much and I’m so fucking sick of Arizona. Besides, that place had a delicious little vibe when I was there so I’ve made up my mind.”
I stare at her like she’s lost her ever loving mind, shaking my head. “You decided to up and move your entire life over a ‘delicious little vibe’?”
“Well, that and being close to my bestie.” She nods. “Yes.”
Good lord.
Her impulsiveness makes my head spin sometimes.
“When are you going to be here?”
She shakes her head. “I don’t know for sure yet but soon. I’ll let you know. Now, answer my question.”
“Which question is that?”
Her head tilts to the side and her gaze narrows. “How are you going to tell Dalton you’re moving in?”
Oh.
That.
“Uh…” I hum, looking around the bedroom. “I’m not sure.”
She gasps, clapping her hands together. “You should totally surprise him. Like go pack all your shit and move it to his house and then when he gets there, you can be all like ‘welcome home, baby’ or something.”
