“Goddamn it, Roost.”

Jumper.

“Brother, you’re going to fucking kill him,” Gear says from my side.

Good.

That’s what needs to happen.

“Lennon will kick our asses if we let you go to jail, fucker,” Jumper yells.

Lennon.

Her name breaks through the haze and I look down at Owen. His face is covered in blood and he can’t open his eyes anymore. He groans and coughs, blood flying from his mouth onto the carpet.

“I’m sorry,” he whispers, clutching his side where I landed a few punches.

“Let’s go,” Gear urges and I look over at him. “Let’s get you home to your girl.”

Lennon.

Yes.

I need to hold her.

I need to know that she’s safe and she’s mine.

“Okay,” I say, nodding despite the fire still burning through my veins. Turning back to Owen, I grab his shirt and pull him up until we’re nose to nose. “Do not come near her ever again. Or I’ll be back and my brothers won’t be able to stop my next time.”

“Never,” he whispers. I drop him and stand, clenching and unclenching my fists as I turn towards the door.

“Let’s go home.”

I need my girl.

Chapter Thirty-One

Rooster

My bike roars onto the compound, my brothers hot on my heels, and there is only one damn thing on my mind.

Lennon.

I need to get to her.

The road past the clubhouse comes into view and Storm is standing there, his bike parked sideways across it, blocking my path.

What the fuck?

I kill the engine and jump off my bike, the sound of it falling to the gravel barely reaching me as I eat away at the distance between me and my prez.

“The fuck is this?” I growl. Storm stands tall, his arms crossed over his broad chest and one brow arched as he stares me down. Unmoving.

“You’re not going to her like this.”

I let out a laugh, full of dark promise. “Try and fucking stop me, asshole.”

“I will tie you up and keep you in this clubhouse all goddamn night if I have to,” he fires back, continuing to stare me down. The steel in his eyes tells me he means it.
