“That’s the one,” Luciano says.
I raise a brow. “What one?”
“The one she just took. That’s going on the mantel.”
“You haven’t even seen it.”
“I don’t need to.”
I laugh again, and the camera catches that too.
This man is my husband.
The man who was never supposed to become anything more than an answer to a problem I didn’t know how to solve somehow became my home.
My person.
My happily ever after.
Ugh.
I’m annoying.
But I’ve never been happier.

Finally.
Everyone is clearing out.
I kiss Isadora’s cheek.
“You look beautiful, mija.” She squeezes my hands. “Definitely a Castillo.”
I chuckle. “Thank you, Isadora.”
She shakes her head immediately.
“No. Not Isadora anymore.” Her smile softens. “Mamá. You’re my daughter now.”
My throat tightens.
“Mamá,” Luciano warns as his arm slips around my waist.
“No, it’s okay.” I smile at her. “I love being part of the family.”
Isadora cups my face.
“You were our missing piece.”
My heart gives way.
She presses a kiss to my forehead before pulling Luciano into a hug.
Ricardo appears beside her, one hand settling at the small of her back.
“Come on, Isa. Let them breathe.”
