I blinked a few times as my brain tried to catch up to what he was saying. “You want to shave for me?”
“It would be my honor and delight to take care of you in any way I can. By the sounds of it, today, it’s helping you shave. Who knows, if you enjoy it, you might let me do it all the time,” Jaxson answered.
Stunned, I stood there as he picked up the yellow razor and the can of shaving cream I used for my lady bits. “Whoa there, buddy, I’m not letting you shave my snatch. There is trusting someone with your life. Then there is trusting someone with a blade near your kitty lips. I’m not sure we’ve reached that level yet.”
“Which is why I’m going to start with your legs, and when it gets to the point I move to that area, we’ll revisit this topic. Now sit so you don’t slip, and I get the best vantage point. I don’t want to miss any hairs.”
When it came to shaving legs, I felt like that should be hard to fuck up. I mean, Jaxson shaves his face every day, so he would know how everything works. I wasn’t convinced I should let him close to my downstairs kitty-cat. Cuts down there were a bitch and a half to heal and always rubbed in the worst ways.
I took a seat as he kneeled, lifting my leg to have my heel rest on his thigh. His hand stroked up and down, sudsing up my leg before he started with the razor. To my surprise, he was gentle, efficient, and detailed. Clearly, this was something he enjoyed doing if the calm, relaxed look on his face was anything to go by.
“You have taken such amazing care of your body from the tip of your toe…” he murmured, stroking my foot with the tip of his finger before lifting it to point at my head, “… to the top of your head. Thank you for giving me the chance to help look after you in this way.”
Cocking my head to the side, I watched him as he took a cup of water and rinsed the leg he had finished shaving. Once it was free of soap, he leaned down and kissed the top of my thigh before moving to the other leg. He repeated the process, giving me heated glances when he got closer to my pussy.
“So what will it be, Harpster? Will you trust me enough to be this intimate with you?” he purred, running the loofa over the top of my pussy, letting his fingers catch on my clit.
I gasped, not realizing how sensitive it still was from Ghost’s attention. When Jaxson pushed my legs wide and tugged me forward, my ass was on the edge of the bench, exposing everything to him. He started to kiss from my sternum down to my belly button as he slid himself closer, his hands trailing from my ribs to my hips.
“I promise to take very good care of you in all ways. All you have to do is let me,” Jaxson pressed, catching me with his gaze. “How about it, Harper, will you let us in, let us protect and care for you in ways you never knew you needed?”
Everything in me wanted to say yes, but I couldn’t tell if it was because of the situation I was in and the excitement of it all, or was I really feeling this way? If they came to me at any other point in my life, I would have never even considered this suggestion, but God, did I want to. Then Ghost’s words ran through my head as he asked me what I had in my life to go back to other than Dax. The answer was I didn’t have anything, not really.
“I want to say yes, but I’m scared,” I admitted since I didn’t have anything to lose, being honest.
Jaxson hummed while nodding his head in understanding. “Trusting is one of the scariest things we can do. Giving trust means they could take advantage of it too, but what if they don’t? What if they give you more than you could have ever dreamed of? Don’t you think it’s worth the risk to find out?”
Was it? Growing up, I only had my grandparents looking after me when my parents died in a car accident with a drunk driver. They’d done their best to look after me, but they were already in their late sixties when ten-year-old me was dropped in their laps. While I was in college, both of them passed away a year apart from each other, leaving me well off enough to pay for school, start my business, and have a home to live in that was paid off.
I’d been on my own for the most part, an only child with grandparents who didn’t know what was happening outside of their soap operas and Scrabble games. I was loved and given all that I could need in the way of my physical needs, but emotionally, they were mourning the loss of their daughter. I don’t think they ever got over it, and seeing as I was a clone of my mother, I was a reminder of what they lost. Besides them, Dax and Wes were my family and the only people I trusted to look after me at this point.
Over and over, people in the fashion industry proved they only saw me as worth their time if they could get something from it. Everything was contingent on looks, wealth, and connections which I didn’t have—besides the looks department. I refused to be that woman, though. I wasn’t going to get ahead in life with my body. It was going to be because of my work.
Now here were these crazy men offering me more than a vacation from myself. They wanted me—mind, body, and soul. Every time they pressed me like this, it wasn’t just them asking for permission for whatever action was happening at the moment. They were asking for forever.
“What happens if I say yes, then we find out this won’t work?” I countered, my anxiety filling my head with every moment a man walked away from me after I gave them something of myself. “I’m not like Dax. I’m not the confident woman who can make people bow before me. I’m the wing woman who fixes crowns and offers support, but I’m not main-character material in this story. She is.”
Jaxson’s hand snapped out and grabbed my chin, squeezing it hard. “I don’t ever want to hear you say bullshit like that again, do you hear me? Stop living in Dax’s shadow. We met Dax first, but then when we saw you, everything changed. Yeah, Dax is a force to be reckoned with, but that’s not at all what we want from our woman. The three of us see the darkness in the world every day. We live in the shadows, hidden with blood covering our hands. You want to know what we see in you?”
He paused, waiting for me to answer, to which I nodded as much as his hand would allow.
“You, Harper Lynn Peirson, are pure sunshine, the light in the darkness that reminds us there is good in the world. It’s clear you don’t see the value in having a big heart for those you claim as your people. You are loyal to a fault, thinking of others before yourself. You want to create beauty in the world through fashion and help others feel beautiful in their own skin. We’ve seen your appointments with your clients, watching how you interact with them. Every time we learned something new about you, we fell deeper under your spell.”
Tears welled up in my eyes and rolled down my cheeks, hearing words no one’s ever told me before.
How is it possible that these three men could see me so clearly when no one else ever had? “That’s how you see me?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
He let go of my chin and brushed away my tears. “Those are the things I could think of off the top of my head, gorgeous. If you give me time, I could fill a whole book with the things I’ve come to love about you.”
“I want you to know how much of an unfair advantage you have in this entire situation. You know my whole life, but I don’t know anything about you three,” I grumbled with a sniffle as I wiped at my eyes.
“Then ask. There is nothing we will keep hidden from you, Harper. We want you to know us just as well as we know you, but I’ll warn you the answers to your questions might not always be what you want to hear. We are not good men, but we are men who love the fuck out of you,” Jaxson stated as he pulled me to him, placing a gentle kiss on my lips. “Say yes, let us love you the way only men with no morals can. Let us lose ourselves in you, and I promise you won’t regret it.”
“Okay,” I answered, letting my answer caress his lips before they stole the air from my body.
Losing myself to his attention, I wrapped my legs around him, holding him tight to me. Surging forward, he picked me up and flipped us around so I was lying on my back on the bench, and he was kneeling between my legs. A gasp escaped my lips as he slid his cock inside me without any warning, but I was more than ready to take him. What surprised me more was when he started to lather on the shaving cream.
“Ah…” I started pushing up on my elbows. “You can’t be doing what I think you’re going to do.”
