“Nah, I don’t, but I don’t want to have it in front of you. Not because of any sneaky shit. I didn’t go so hard for you to try and keep Kirah around. If it was that serious, I would have remained single, but Kirah is cool. I just wouldn’t feel right embarrassing her or hurting her feelings in front of you. Even if she doesn’t know you’re here. I’m not even that type of nigga.”

Heiress believed him. Amar was the realest nigga that she’d ever met. “I get it. I trust you.”

“You better.”

He leaned over and kissed her and started an hour long session of fucking.

Yohana drove towards the restaurant excited as hell to see Canyon. She had spent three days at the beach with Kari and the day before she got back, Canyon had to go out of town on business. She hadn’t seen him in five days, and she had missed the hell out of him. After being with Kari nonstop for the past five days, she felt okay with leaving him home playing his gamewhile she came to spend a few hours with her man. Zone had now been gone more than a year, and Yohana was seriously thinking about introducing Kari to Canyon. Maybe it was too soon, but it would be cool if they could at least have dinner together once a week. She was tired of feeling like she was sneaking to spend time with Canyon.

Yohana pulled up at the restaurant and left her car with the valet attendant. She strutted towards the entrance in her wedge heels, and her breath caught in her throat when she saw Canyon smiling all hard with some hoe that was in his face. She was clad in a white sleeveless dress and red heels. She looked professional, had toffee colored skin and a short haircut. She was smiling so wide at Canyon that Yohana could damn near see every tooth in her mouth.

“I don’t know if you know my story sweetie but know this, Canyon doesn’t know how to be faithful. One woman will never be enough for him. Just don’t get too attached to him because if he can’t do shit else, he can break a bitch’s heart.”

Cheyenne’s words rang in Yohana’s head. When the smiling hoe reached out and touched Canyon’s arm, Yohana saw red. She increased the pace that she was walking and was up on them in no time. Canyon turned in her direction and immediately hugged her. “Hey baby.” He kissed her on the lips, and the woman that he had been talking to wasn’t smiling anymore.

“Nice meeting you,” she flashed a fake smile and got the hell out of dodge.

“Your lil’ friend sure disappeared quick,” Yohana stated, and Canyon could sense right away that she had an attitude.

He looked over his shoulder confused. “Friend? Nah, she asked me what kind of cologne I was wearing, I told her, and she said that was out of her budget. We hadn’t been talking for three minutes. You mad about that?”

“Nope. Let’s just eat.”

“Nah. Not if you have an attitude. We’re too old for games. If you have an issue, say that. I haven’t seen you in damn near a week, and you got an attitude right out the gate.” Canyon was irritated himself because he really didn’t know that woman and hadn’t flirted with her in the least bit.

“Are we too old for games? Because if you really don’t want to be with just one woman?”

She couldn’t even complete her sentence before he was walking off. He wasn’t doing that shit. She wanted to beef over nothing when he all he wanted to do was spend some time with her. Yohana didn’t even understand the kind of spell that she had him under. Shit, he was happy he was about to see her. That’s why he was smiling and polite to that broad. He was simply in a good mood. A nigga couldn’t win for losing. Yohana had let Cheyenne get in her head, and he wasn’t feeling that shit. Canyon had almost made it to his car when Yohana called his name. He turned around slowly.

“You just gon’ walk off and leave me standing there?” she looked truly perplexed.

“You damn right, ‘cus I’m not ‘bout to argue over dumb shit. You were the one that told me I don’t have to apologize to you for the shit I did with Cheyenne, but you don’t trust me based off the shit she said. I have never lied to you about shit! I can’t even be cordial to a stranger without you getting an attitude. I’m not beat for that shit. Call me when you get your mind right.”

Yohana stood there speechless, and Canyon wanted to walk away, but he couldn’t. She no longer appeared angry. She looked hurt and just that fast, he regretted being so harsh with her. Yohana could make him damn near bitch up without even saying a word. The longer he stared at her beautiful face the softer he became.

“I am not trying to fight with you,” he stated in a softer tone.

Yohana walked towards him. “I’m sorry. Maybe my period is coming. Maybe I need some dick. I was jealous, and I’m sorry.”

Canyon wrapped his arms around her. “You don’t have to be jealous, ma. I swear this is yo’ dick.”

His words made Yohana giggle. “I’m glad to know that.”

He kissed her lips. “Cone on let’s eat, so I can take you back to my hotel room and fuck your brains out.”

Canyon had found a house that he liked, and he was in the process of going through the necessary steps to close on the house. He had wanted so much input from Yohana when he was choosing a house because that was the last house that he planned to live in. He wanted her in his life long-term and if things worked out that way, her and Kari would one day be moving in with him. Canyon was able to find a beautiful home in Wake Forest that had five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a three car garage, a huge screened in back porch, a den, living room, a bonus room, a huge kitchen, and a pool. Little did Yohana know, he already had it planned in his mind that the bonus room would be her office once she got into real estate. One of the bedrooms would also be his man cave. The house was only $619,000 which was only $19,000 more than he paid for the house he left Cheyenne.

Inside the restaurant, Yohana told Canyon about her and Kari’s vacation. She also sprang some news on him. “I was thinking that if we’re still doing this by the end of next month, that I could introduce you and Kari.”

“First of all, this, we’re definitely going to still be doing by the end of next month. I know enough about you to know that we’re compatible. No one is perfect, so we will have issues. But, we’re grown enough and mature enough to try and get past them. If we’ve given it everything we have and we still can’t get right, then we go our separate ways.”

Yohana smiled. “Okay, so let me rephrase that. At the end of next month, I’d like you to meet Kari. I want you to at least come over for dinner once a week.”

“And I want him to come over and get in the pool before the summer ends. And, before he goes back to school, maybe we can all go on vacation. To Hawaii or somewhere.”

“That would be dope, but I do have one small concern. Canyon, you know I don’t judge you or what you do, but what do I tell my son? You do the same thing that his father is in prison for.”

“You tell him that I have rental properties. Which I do. You tell him that I invest in stocks, which I do. Tell him that I own a café. Which I do and just in case you’re worried, I gave my people notice already. Twelve more months, and I’m out. I’ll no longer be a drug dealer.”
