The excitement made her chest swell and exhilaration surge into her bloodstream. She couldn’t count how many times she’d asked Logan and Elijah to take her to Sapphire Island, the private island owned by Talon, the mysterious Dominant with only one name. Ever since she’d learned of its existence, she’d been dropping hints that it would be the perfect place for them to vacation. Who wouldn’t want to visit a private resort, aptly named the Sapphire, that had once been restricted to Owners who were seeking their very own possessions? She wasn’t talking about material valuables, either. These were living, breathing people looking for the one person who would own them, heart, body, and soul, for eternity.
Sam had been obsessed with the need to see Sapphire Island for herself, to experience the wonder that could only be had by people who were willing to give themselves over to another human being and be, in essence, their slave for life.
And Logan and Elijah were taking her for her birthday.
“Go on up,” Logan urged when Elijah joined them at the back of the car. “I’ll ensure the luggage gets loaded.”
Sam took Elijah’s hand and walked beside him toward the plane, then up the stairs to the open door.
The moment she stepped inside, she gasped. “Holy shit.”
This was not your mother’s regular 737. This was a luxury hotel with wings.
“This way,” Elijah said, tugging on her hand.
She followed him, not sure where he was leading her and not caring, either. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing. There was so much to take in, so many—
“Happy Birthday!”
Sam jumped, startled by the chorus that rang out as soon as she stepped into what appeared to be a dining/conference room.
Her eyes pooled as she took in the faces of all her friends. Sierra, Cole, and Luke, Ashleigh and Alex, Xander and Mercedes, Tag and McKenna, Trent, Clarissa, and Troy, even Dylan and a very pregnant Sara … they were all here, holding up glasses of champagne as they watched her with wide grins.
As they greeted her with hugs and welcomes, Sam couldn’t help but think she was the luckiest woman in the world.

Logan reclined in one of the leatherchairs while the plane made its approach to Sapphire Island. He’d spent the five-hour trip in the same spot, watching movies on the big screen while friends relaxed and chatted around him.
Elijah tapped his arm, pulling his attention away from the TV.
“You know there’s a good chance she’s going to want to take a possession home with her.”
Logan laughed. He’d had the same thought when he initially started planning this trip for Sam’s fortieth birthday many months ago. With Elijah’s help, they’d managed to pull off the surprise for as long as was physically possible.
“Well, we’ll have to keep her too busy to do any browsing.”
“I’m certainly up for the challenge.”
A man wearing a collar and claiming he was the flight attendant began making his rounds, ensuring everyone was buckled for landing. If Logan had to guess, he was one of the many possessions owned by the resort, explicitly sent to ensure their safe arrival. Logan had never been to the taboo resort that Trent spoke so highly of, but he’d heard plenty of stories. At one point, it had been restricted to a certain caliber of guests, but in recent years it was converted into a fetish resort that put all others to shame. Even Alluring Indulgence Resort couldn’t boast the kind of taboo, kinky things that the Sapphire could.
He heard Sam giggling from somewhere behind him, and he smiled to himself.
Definitely going to be an interesting trip.
Two hours later, after they’d arrived at the Sapphire, they were checked in and given an impromptu tour of the main facilities before being escorted to their private bungalow. Logan had known when he’d set everything up that the accommodations would be five-star, but he’d never anticipated this. The three-thousand-square-foot space was magnificent. It even had a bed that would work for the three of them, a request he’d made at the very last minute. Between that and the private pool, he wasn’t sure they would need to leave for the entirety of the trip.
They would, of course, because Sam was already begging to go to the main pools. Evidently, she’d heard that they held scenes in the area throughout the day and sometimes into the night.
“I’ve got a scene for you,” he said, pulling her in close and pressing a kiss to her lips.
“Oh, yeah?” She smiled up at him, her light green eyes glittering with anticipation. “Does it involve lunch? Because I’m starving.”
He laughed, glancing over at Elijah. “You hungry, too?”
The spark in Elijah’s eyes said he was, but not necessarily for food.
Logan knew the feeling. He’d spent the better part of the past week doing his best not to ravish either of them. It wasn’t easy, but he’d known this day was coming, and he’d been hoping to grant Sam her request as one of her gifts. Her request being to watch the two of them together.
