“Okay, we’re doing this. And I hate to beat a dead horse, but just remember: you say the word and everything stops.”
“Yes, Daddy,” I tease.
Teddy rolls his eyes before he leans down and sucks on my neck. His hand snakes between us, and his thumb rubs circles around my rim. I tense slightly, but he just continues the gentlemotion until I relax. Once my body is loose again, he taps my hole, giving me a chance to prepare myself. I take a deep breath, exhale, and then there’s a finger inside me. He must see the fear in my eyes because in a soothing voice, he says, “It’s just us here. You and me. Everett and Cooper. Nobody else.”
“Teddy and LB,” I correct, and he gives me a small smile. I nod for him to continue. The process is slow, but he’s patient and steadfast, as we work up to three fingers. He kisses me the entire time, keeping me in the present. When my body begins crying out for him, I pull away from his mouth. “I’m ready, Teddy. Do it.”
My fingers lock onto his, and his forehead presses against mine. “Teddy and LB,” he repeats. There’s pressure. A slight sling. A breath passes between us, and then he’s in.
We both freeze, neither of us sure how to react. “Do you want me to stop? Is it too much?” he asks, a hint of panic in his voice.
“No!” I practically yell, causing him to jerk in surprise. The movement sends tingles up my spine. It takes a minute, but my brain finally registers it as pleasure instead of pain. “No,” I repeat at a much more normal volume. “Please keep going.”
His strokes are languid but deep. Our lips barely part the entire time. I’m overwhelmed. He’s everywhere, surrounding me. It’s no longer clear where I end and he begins. The pressure builds lazily until Teddy’s rhythm becomes unsteady. “I need you with me, baby.”
“I’m here. I’m right here,” I promise, turning my face and pulling him in. I need him closer. Need more of his skin against mine.
He buries his face in my neck, pushing into me as deep as he can. He grunts, and his body spasms as he floods my body. What was building lazily suddenly explodes. Lightning strikes, and I release.
When my brain comes back online, I feel Teddy peppering my face with kisses while his fingers drag lazily through my curls. My mind wants to slip back into the past, but his body is a solid weight pressing into me, keeping me here in the present. I trail my hands up his back until I’m gripping his shoulders. Surrounded by the smell of us, I inhale deeply until my lungs begin to scream. All I want is to be completely engulfed in us. Teddy and LB, and this intensely beautiful moment.
This wasn’t just sex. Teddy used his body to give me back something that had been stolen long ago. I don’t realize I’m crying until he begins kissing my tears away. “That….” I hiccup. “That was everything. I never knew it could feel like this. Thank you for giving me this moment, Teddy.”
“I love you, LB. I’d give you the world if I could, because you deserve it. The world isn’t mine to give, but everything I have, everything that I am, is yours. Forever, if you want it.”
For the first time in a long time, I’m speechless. So I just kiss him, letting my body say the words my voice can’t find. I am his. He is mine. Forever.
Cooper
Waking up in Teddy’s arms is something that will never get old. Snuggling deeper into his hold, I sigh in contentment.
“Everyone will be chomping at the bit to see you this morning.” His voice is sleep-roughened, and I feel the vibration of it where my face rests on his chest.
“I know,” I groan out. “How long do you think I can avoid them?”
His responding snort is not reassuring. “You know as well as I do it’s a miracle that they haven’t already circled the wagons.”
As if summoned by his words, there’s a sharp rap at the door. Groaning, I flop onto my back. “Go away!” I yell.
“Either you open this door, or I will,” Max yells back.
“Bullshit! You don’t even have a—” The door swings open, and in walk the three people who, for some unknown reason, I’ve decided to call family. “—key.” I finish lamely. “Why are you like this?” I screech, scrambling to grab the covers from where they’re pooled at my waist. I proceed to pull them up to my chinlike some scandalized maiden, making sure to cover both myself and Teddy, who just chuckles.Traitor.Of course, having gotten up at some time in the night to use the bathroom, heis wearing underwear. Meanwhile,I’mas naked as the day I was born.
“Oh, calm down. Lane’s the only one here who hasn’t seen it before, and truly it’s not like he’s missing anything,” Max sasses.
Sitting up, I stare at her indignantly. “Excuse me?! I’ll have you know that I am above average. There’s plenty to miss, thank you very much.”
She rolls her eyes so hard I’m mildly concerned they might end up stuck. “You, my lovable best friend, are an idiot. That wasn’t a size joke. That was a ‘once you’ve seen one you’ve seen them all’ joke, and since Everett’s mom is the only person in this room without their own…” She shrugs before softening her gaze and pouting delicately. “And above average? Let’s be so for real, babe.”
I feel my face heat at her faux-sympathetic look.God save me from best friends with no filter.“You did not just say that.”
“I clearly did. Now, stop deflecting, and get your ass out of bed. I need coffee, and we’ve got less than thirty minutes before you turn into a hangry bitch.”
Lane is laughing so hard he’s barely able to stay upright.Honestly, you’d think being his first friend would inspire some amount of loyalty.“Ugh, fine, but only because you mentioned food. Now get out so we can get dressed. Only Teddy gets to see my junk these days, and I’ll be damned if any of y’all—sorry, Mom—are looking at his, covered or not.”
The three of them laugh, but Mom steps forward to usher the other two assholes towards the door.
Teddy and I make quick work of dressing.Max wasn’t exaggerating about me being hangry. My stomach is already starting to voice its displeasure at being empty. When we make it down to the hotel lobby, the three amigos are there waitingfor us. Lane hands me a muffin, which I devour in three seconds flat.
