Not yours,I scolded.
She wasn’t even remotely convinced.
Gray returned and placed a pile of blankets and pillows at the foot of the bed. I immediately started arranging the blankets so they formed a barrier around the edge of the mattress.
“My roommate’s almost here,” Bear said to Gray. Then he turned to me. “He’s just going to make sure you’re okay.”
There was a knock on the door. I shook my head. Nope, I only wanted my guys here.
“Liam is really nice,” he continued. “I just want to make sure?—”
“Liam?” I asked, cutting him off. My arms almost gave out when Liam—my Liam—walked into the room.
His eyes widened as he hurried over to the bed, quickly pulling me into his arms.
“How are you here?” he asked, sounding bewildered as he stroked my hair. “What…” He trailed off, glancing between Bear and me. “How do you know each other?”
“False advertising,” I mumbled, trying to pull Liam’s shirt off. He was finally free of de-scenter and I breathed in deeply to catch his scent. He smelled like honey and caramel, making my mouth water.
“What?” he asked, helping me with his shirt.
“Bear only sells motorcycles. So don’t go there if you want an actual bike.”
Liam cleared his throat. “Good to know, sweetness.”
“Is there something wrong with her?” Gray asked, his voice hard.
Liam’s face transformed into a scowl as he took in the alpha. “Why the fuck are you here? You treated her like shit in the hospital.”
A mix of emotions crossed Gray’s face. “I just want to make sure she’s okay,” he finally said.
Liam turned back to me. “Are you on suppressants, sweetheart?”
I shook my head, gritting my teeth against a whimper as pain shot through my core. “I’ve never needed them. I can’t have heats.” Slick poured into my underwear, and I was feeling increasingly desperate to be filled. I was craving Liam’s knot.
“You’ve never had a heat?” Liam gently grasped my hand as I went to cup his erection.
“No,” I said with a frustrated cry when I couldn’t get to his knot.
“Just wait one more minute, sweetness.” He caressed my face. “Sometimes omegas can have breakthrough heats, especially if they’ve been close to alphas. Extended exposure to alpha pheromones can trigger certain hormones.”
“So she’s not in danger?” Bear asked, grasping my hand.
“Well, she still needs a nest and knots to get her through it. Breakthrough heats are short and less intense than a regular heat. They usually last up to twenty-four hours. She’ll probably have moments where she’s feeling out of it but will stay more lucid than normal.” He pressed a soft kiss to my cheek. “Do you want us to help you through your heat?”
I nodded. If I’d had it my way, Liam’s knot would have already been inside me. “But I also want Henry,” I said with a sniff.
“Who’s that?” Bear growled, turning to Gray.
“I have no idea.” Gray stood off to the side of the room and I wanted him closer.
“Can I call him?” I asked, my voice high-pitched as I struggled not to burst into tears.
“Of course,” Gray said, pulling my phone out of my bag and handing it to me.
I pressed Henry’s number with trembling hands, bringing the phone up to my ear. Each ring felt like torture until he finally answered.
“Westin,” he said. “I’m so happy to hear from you. I thought you’d forgotten me.” He laughed, but there was a strained edge to his voice.
