“Bear,” I whined, twisting in Gray’s hold until I saw him sprinting over to us, two helmets in his hand.
“What have you done to her?” Bear snarled, throwing the helmets down and trying to pull me out of Gray’s arms.
“Don’t touch her,” Gray growled, holding me tighter.
I whimpered. I didn’t want them to fight. My stomach rippled again with another cramp. My omega was greedy and wanted Bear’s knot as well as Gray’s. And I wanted Liam and Henry. I instinctively knew that my nest wouldn’t be complete without all of them.
“Bear,” I said, reaching out to him. I needed his scent on me immediately.
There was a silent standoff between the two alphas until Gray relented, allowing Bear to pull me into his arms. I wrapped my arms and legs around him and pressed my face into his neck, his scent instantly easing some of the tension inside me.
“What’s wrong, baby?” Bear asked, his voice gentle. “You’re burning up.”
“I think she’s in heat,” Gray said, standing so close I could feel his warmth against my back. “But I can’t scent her.”
“So you decided to fucking kidnap her?” Bear asked. His fingers dug into my hips, and I arched against him, trying to get friction against my core.
“I was taking her somewhere safe,” Gray said. “It’s my job to protect her.”
“Some fucking bodyguard you are,” he snarled. “You know where I found her last night? Fucking Cum Dumpster.”
“What are you talking about?” Gray’s voice was low and dangerous.
Shit. I didn’t want Gray to be mad at me. Everything felt distorted in my mind and the words I wanted to say wouldn’t form. Sweat beaded down my neck.
A cool hand brushed against my forehead. “Westin, baby, can you hear me?” Bear asked.
“It hurts,” I finally whispered. “Please make it go away.”
“Okay, babydoll, don’t worry.” Bear hesitated, running his hand down my back. “Do you need medical care or something? My roommate is a nurse. He should be getting home any minute. He could check you out and see what’s going on?”
The only nurse I wanted was Liam. I didn’t want a stranger anywhere near me, getting their scent on me.
“I don’t—” I was cut off by another horrible cramp that made me curl into myself.
“Shit,” Bear said, sounding stressed. “Let’s get you inside my place.”
Gray’s chest rumbled with a growl. “You think your apartment is the best place for her? Safe and quiet?”
Bear froze, glancing over at his dilapidated apartment building as if he were trying to make up his mind before sighing. “Fine, lead the way.” It sounded like it caused him pain to say it.
His lips brushed my ear as he carried me toward Gray’s apartment. “You didn’t call me. I was just about to head to your place to check on you.”
“Sorry,” I murmured. I’d thought about calling him when I woke up, but then the voice in my head that said he didn’t really want me took over. I was an inconvenience.
I kept my eyes closed as waves of dizziness washed over me. Before long, Gray was unlocking a door, and we passed through an open living room and kitchen to a bedroom.
His fingers brushed against my face. “Do you want to make a nest in my bed, love?”
My eyes flew open, taking in a massive bed in the middle of a sparse white room. The urge to nest took over and I practically threw myself out of Bear’s arms and onto the bed. He chuckled, but quickly schooled his expression at my glare.
“I need more,” I whined, looking at the lone black comforter.
“I’ll get you blankets,” Gray said, leaving the room.
I started arranging the blanket and pillows, loving that they smelled of Gray. But the more I arranged things, the more wrong it felt. I turned towards Bear, my eyes fixed on his shirt.
“You need my shirt again, babydoll?” he asked, already stripping off his leather jacket and shirt. My omega was pleased that her alpha was taking care of her.
