“You don’t have to be my man, North. You can date me. I’d like that because I’m not up for the relationship kick right now.”
He nodded. “But you’re only fucking me.”
I laughed.A man.“Not that I’m out here having sex with a plethora of niggas, but that’s a bit demanding, isn’t it?”
He put his hands on my sides then pulled me between his legs. “Nah it isn’t. I’m not trying to place claim, but I’m selfish as fuck. I own that much.”
I laughed. “Are you serious?”
“As fuck. I’on like the idea of sharing where I lay my head with anybody if you get what I’m saying.”
Oddly enough why was I okay with the idea of this. I didn’t want some ready-made relationship with him either, but then again who knows how this would’ve gone? So, without even consulting the cowardice caution I should’ve had, I nodded my head and agreed to whatever situations-ship he was offering. It couldn’t be that bad, right? Then again it might not have been bad at all.
Namari
I closed my eyes and allowed the adrenaline in my body to settle. I had too much going on in my head to be dealing with dumb shit like this. With my pistol in my hand, I swiped it across the nigga’s face. I didn’t give a fuck about any of that respect shit, nor did I wanna hear a motherfucker tell me what happened. The problem was that somebody felt like they could get away with trying to take my shit.
“You gonna let the nigga talk, or keep fucking him up?” Kasey asked from the side of me.
“Shit if he felt like talking, he would’ve spoken, right?” I was about to hit his ass again, but then he screamed out wait.
“See? Let the bitch talk.”
I stepped back to let him talk only for the nigga to start laughing. “Nigga this ain’t yo’ plot no more. This is my cousin Ralf’s territory so nah we weren’t stealing from you, big homie. We were taking their shit.” He used his head to point in Kasey and his brother’s direction.
Now that was fucked up, but I guess I was glad for the clarification. Only problem I had was shit like this. When niggasstarted beefing then money got funny. I didn’t get why everyone couldn’t just get the fuck along.
“Oh yeah?” Kasey asked with a smirk on his face. I’d seen that crooked ass smirk too many times before.
Instead of saying anything I stepped my ass back and watched how this played out. I knew better than to stand by Kasey when he got on his shit. He talked about me being the unpredictable one, but this nigga was erratic. When he came out to play, he did shit that nobody would ever think of. My boy was calculated as fuck. I stuck around for a while before I headed out and told them to call me if they needed me.
I planned on being lowkey with the rest of my night, but this lil’ female I was messing with wanted to get a meal. I couldn’t argue with that because I was dead ass hungry. To be honest I didn’t remember the last time I ate anything, so I agreed. What I didn’t expect was to walk into the hole in the wall BBQ joint and see Surah sharing a meal with a nigga like she had run that plan past me. This shit right here was why I hated to like a motherfucker. I mean she didn’t know I liked her, but she should’ve fucking known. She should’ve known by the way I stayed at her place after I came in from running the streets. She should’ve fucking known but apparently, she wanted to see me show the fuck out and I was game.
Instead of taking a seat, I made a b-line over to her table. As soon as I reached it, I leaned over and thumped her on her fucking forehead with my index and middle finger.
“The fuck is you doing?” I kept my eyes on her but in my peripheral vision, I paid attention to old boy across from her.
She was completely taken by surprise. She blinked a few times, before looking up at me like I had lost my mind. “What is wrong with you?” she mused.
“You. That’s what’s wrong with me. You can’t think to hit me up, but you’re sitting here eating with this square ass nigga? Matter of fucking fact what the fuck are you even doing out here with this clown?”
“Excuse me, bruh? I don’t even know you for you to be putting your lips on me and shit.” That was all the nigga could say and that made me look at her ass even harder.
“Yo, you got your ass out here with a nigga who won’t even defend you. I thumped yo’ fucking face and this nigga just stood by and minded his business. What the fuck, Surah?”
I thought she was about to speak, but she didn’t. Then by the time I was about to say something else I looked up and shorty that I came here with was all in my grill.
“Um excuse me I don’t know what this is, but we should be eating, right?”
I was about to respond when Surah started laughing. It wasn’t one of those joke type laughs. It was the opposite. I could see the irritation in her eyes. For a moment she looked past me at Lacie. At least I think that’s her name.
“Nope, I can’t do this anymore. You’re impossible and this entire situation is beyond me. Please leave me alone, Namari.” I didn’t know exactly what she meant, but I felt the weight of her words a little heavier than I wanted to. Then it was something in her eyes that made me want to ask her what she meant, but I got cotton mouth. I didn’t ask because the coward in me feared that she meant she was done fucking with me. Then like a true coward, I watched her walk out of the door of the restaurant. There are many reasons I didn’t go after her, but the main one was because I wasn’t shit and I was about to lie to her and tell her that I was.
Surah and I should’ve just been sex and a good time, but we both fucked up and made it more with our actions. We found an intimacy that neither of us were looking for.
“Are we eating or what?” Lacie asked out of the blue like I hadn’t been staring at the door like one of those niggas in an R&B video.
Shaking my head, I reminded myself that it was what it was before I finally looked at Lacie. I wasn’t even hungry anymore. “Get that shit to go, shorty. I’ll be in the car.” I didn’t give her a chance to respond because I was already walking out of the door. Lowkey my brain was heavy, and my heart was heavier.
