Chapter 24
Faith
She watched the sexy alien leave the bathroom. His sweet ways were tearing down the walls she had erected to protect herself.
“I am in so much trouble,” Faith whispered.
She removed her shirt and turned on the shower. Her whole body ached, but in a new way. There were goose bumps running up and down her arms. Her nipples were tight. It was not something she was used to feeling. No one in the subway had ever made her feel this way. When Logan was close, all she wanted was to rub her body against his. Did the Drastans have pheromones they gave off that made human women horny? Because his scent was divine.
For a moment, she thought Logan was going to kiss her, and she wasn’t sure if she would have pushed him away or welcomed it. The only kisses she received were from boys, and Logan was all man. Rooster didn’t count because it was a kiss under duress. He took what he wanted and didn’t care if she enjoyed it or not. Logan was different. He would make sure she enjoyed it, she had no doubts about that.
As she soaped up her body, she noticed how sensitive her skin felt. She was hot all over. Maybe the treatments were making cells come alive. No, it was thinking about Logan that made her react this way. Pinching her nipples, her knees wobbled as pain and pleasure raced through her. Lowering her other hand, she rubbed her clit, increasing the pressure. This was something she rarely did unless she went to her special museum to be alone. Even then, her libido had been low, making her wonder if something was wrong with her.
Closing her eyes, she imagined it was Logan touching her. He would lean down to place his lips on her neck. His fingers would pinch her nipples into hard points. She felt the pressure and pleasure to her core. She rubbed her lower lips and clit more, faster and faster. Then everything focused on where her fingers were fervently working to reach that pentacle of release. When it hit, she called out, “Logan!”
That was one of the biggest orgasms she had ever had. Maybe it was because she was picturing someone so real and so damn hot. Even before the nukes hit, she had met no one who made her feel the way he did. Nothing was wrong with her libido, that was for damn sure.
Just imagining Logan had her body warming again. It wasn’t just his looks, which were phenomenal. It was the way he took care of her. It was nice having someone who worried about her food and held her hair while she threw up. She and her brother had to keep their familial relationship on the back burner. Felix said he couldn’t show her favoritism; it would cause strife within the tribe. She didn’t agree, but she had to fall in line. Felix was their leader, and that was the only relationship that Felix would allow.
Would Logan have taken the same approach? She doubted it. Logan would never have denied their connection just to take a lead position. Sighing, she had to stop thinking about Logan. She would go back to her tribe, and he would go to his home world. They had no future. Were they even compatible?
The razors she requested were sitting on the shower shelf. Finally, she could shave her legs and under her arms. She trimmed her pubic hair and shaved her bikini area. Thank God her mom had taught her how to use the razor before the nukes hit. Not that she had a chance in the past eight years to shave at all. If they found any razors while they were scavenging, the men used them to keep their facial hair trimmed. None of the blades were this new and sharp. She cut herself in a few places.
“Shit!”
Turning off the water, she reached for the towel. She dried her body quickly and stuck pieces of toilet paper on the still bleeding spots. Her hair was damp and hung in heavy strands. She didn’t see a hair dryer or hair straightener. It would dry in loose waves, but there was nothing she could do about it. Also, she lost her hair tie somewhere, so it would have to hang down.
Maybe she could talk Logan into taking her to whatever shops this dome might have, where she could get supplies for her and her people. Returning empty-handed was not the wisest thing. If she had something to offer, her tribe might forgive her for getting caught.
Waller was a whole other story. He would expect her to come back with information about the aliens and the dome. The layout and what kind of security they had. Faith wasn’t a spy and the aliens have been nothing but kind to her. She refused to repay their kindness by betraying them.
She opened the door of the bathing room and was grateful that Logan wasn’t in the bedroom. There were fresh clothes on the end of the bed along with shoes, socks, and underwear. Leaving here, where she had things like boots her actual foot size, was going to be hard. Leaving Logan behind was probably going to be near impossible—heart wrenching even.
