Dante appears next to me and starts a dialogue with Bruno, I barely understand what they're talking about.
“How is she?” a distorted voice says.
“She’s losing a lot of blood; we need to go now.”
“Tell me what to do!” a man shouts.
My eyes are already closed, but a metallic sound is loud in my ears.
“Sarah! Open your damn eyes!” Orders Bruno and I obey as always. I see Bruno’s desperate green eyes and Dante’s scared ones, “Try to stay awake.”
“Dante, I assume you don't know how to fly a helicopter, right?”
“N-no.” he responds nervously.
“Well then, you’re in charge of her, put pressure on the wound, look, like this.” Bruno presses a little harder on my stomach, the pain increases, and I groan hard, “Don't stop pressing.”
Something lifts me off the floor, my arms fall awkwardly around me.
I try to open my eyes and I feel Dante's sprint, the shocks from him sprinting causes the pain to shoot all over my fucking body.
Fuck, it hurts like hell!
“Sorry Sarah.” Dante murmurs, with his trembling voice.
I hear a strong, metallic sound.
Did we get to the helicopter?
I open my eyes a few inches, and I can see the seats in the narrow cabin. Dante carefully places me there without losing pressure on my wound.
I can hear more footsteps walking over the base of the machine, I take from the sound they are women's shoes, so Amira is here, but I don't hear the child.
“W-where is the child-d?” I ask between moans.
“He's here with me.” Amira holds my hand tightly. “Hang in there, Sarah.”
I can barely hear her, she's thousands of miles away.
My hearing is shutting down, as is my vision.
I fall into a cozy darkness; I need to go; I want to live in a deep sleep.
Is this the end of my story or just the beginning?
