It was funny the expression on Bruno's face when I demanded he confess his plan to me. He really thought I hadn't noticed his thirst for revenge.

Of course I was on board and I was going to help him, no questions asked.

“Did you really think I wouldn't notice? Don’t answer me, just tell me what I have to do.”

That was the one-sided conversation I had with him.

I' d killed the two guards protecting Razzag, of course there were more in the house, but this is no time to catch them all.

They’re not exactlyPokémon.

I close the door after Bruno calls me to prove his point to Razzag and take a firm stand, waiting for Bruno's orders.

After fifteen minutes and three gunshots, Bruno opens the door and dodges the two dead bodies like they are toys on the floor.

“It's done.” He says with blood in his face. He looks savage and satisfied at the same time.

“All right, let's go then.”

Dante, Amira and the child are hiding in Razzag’s garden; to get there, we need to go through an area of the house where only the slaves go, the slave section. From there, according to Dante, there is a hatch that leads directly to Razzag’s garden, where a helicopter is waiting for us.

We walk through the mansion, it's so big it seems infinite, nobody crosses our path, which is weird.

“Is it just me or there is something fishy in the air?” I whisper.

“You’re definitely not alone, something stinks, so get ready.”

“Yes, sir.” I answer firmly.

Bruno looks at me from the corner of his eye for a few seconds and whispers, “That was surprisingly hot.”

I smile. Those simple words shake my core in a sec. Nobody has the same effect on my body like Bruno has.

As our feet move forward, Bruno and I turn off the security cameras with the most practical method. A bullet. We go down a spiral staircase and arrive at a quiet, dark place.

Ten wooden beds perfectly place next to each other, an old sheet and a reeking pillow are all they have. It looks like an orphanage in a horror film.

Where is everybody?

Dante left us a path marked with different…objects. A trail of breadcrumbs, if you will, so that we can find the access hatch he mentioned.

Bruno pushes it out slowly and scrutinizes the garden.

“Suspiciously quiet, but I can see the helicopter,” he whispers. “Here's the plan, we have to run towards the forest on the left, they'll probably start shooting at us so it's important that you run really fast.”

“That's easy for you to say, you don't have heels!” I protest.

Bruno looks at my feet. “Okay, I get your point, but you can run elegantly.”

My angry face makes him laugh.

“All right! All right! Let me see...” he starts looking for something, bends down so he can look underneath the beds, nothing. Gets up and walk around the room, and he stops when he finds a door.

“Bingo...” he whispers.

When I get close to him, he throws me a pair of very simple slippers; they are white and barely have a heel.
