Sean’s eyes were wide, and I didn’t know why my eyes were welling up with tears, but I couldn’t stop it. “You got your period?” He asked, and the dam burst open. “It’s okay, I think I have some pad—Chelsea?Princess, what happened?”
He hugged me and I couldn’t hold back my sob as he ran his hand through my hair. “Why are you crying?” He asked, his voice gentle. “Does it hurt a lot,hm?”
I nodded, crying on his chest as he rubbed my back and let me cry while I bled on his bed. “I’m so sorry,” I said through my sob, sniffling and looking away, wishing to hide somewhere. “I’m so sorry, I ruined your bed.”
“Don’t be silly,” he said, wiping my tears. “You didn’t ruin anything.”
He gave me a glass of water and stood up, making me cry even more. I had stained his sweatpants, too, but he didn’t care. He was acting like it was no big deal.
“Come here,” he said, offering me his hand and even though I felt embarrassed by everything, I took it. “You’re going to take a bath. I added epsom salt to help with your cramps.”
I shook my head. “I’ve to clean up?—”
He cupped my face and kissed my forehead. “Go take a bath, Princess. I’ll take care of it.”
“But—”
“Shh,” he said. “I’m your Daddy, right?”
I nodded.
“Good girl. Then let me take care of you.” His words warmed my chest, and I looked away. “I’m here, so call me if you need anything, okay?”
“Okay,” I replied softly and followed his orders.
As promised, the water in the bath was warm enough to calm down my cramps. I had found a box of tampons and pads under the sink, and I was surprised he had them. They both looked like new boxes, but I wondered why he kept them.Does he have a sister?
I had never seen a guy seem so relaxed talking about periods or seeing the mess I had made. But then again, Sean was a gentleman—most of the times.
I wanted to dig a hole and bury myself. But I wanted to help him wash up, so I took a quick bath and cleaned myself. Sean gave me fresh clothes with panties. I donned his comfy sweatpants and tee before heading out of the washroom.
The bedroom was empty, and he had already taken the bedsheets. I was about to walk out of the room to find him when his phone dinged from the bed. It looked like he meant to take the phone with him, but left it on the bed before leaving.
The phone screen had lit up with a text message and I wasn’t trying to look at it, but I read the message from someone named Liza.
Liza: I’ll be in LA for a few weeks. Wanna meet?
I frowned at the text when another popped up.
Liza: Please don’t ignore this Sean
Liza: We need to talk about our relationship
I felt too hot and cold. The tightness in my chest made me feel dizzy. I kept the phone down, backing away. I bit my lip at the mention of their relationship. If she was his sister, she wouldn’t address something about the relationship. And what did it mean by him ignoring her?
I jumped, turning around when Sean entered the room with new sheets in his hand. He had changed his sweatpants. “Oh, you took the bath. How are you feeling?” He asked, dropping the sheets on the bed and walking up to me.
He had told me he was single.
I lied. “I’m feeling much better now, thank you.”
He smiled and told me to sit in the armchair while he fixed the new sheets. He asked me if I needed any painkillers, but I was too busy overthinking about the text messages from Liza.
“Do you want me to give you a massage?” He asked, fluffing the pillows.
“No, I think I’ll just go to sleep,” I replied, wishing I could sleep in the guest room. I knew if I told him about wanting space, he wouldn’t mind, but he had done so much and was being so sweet and caring.
Even though I felt strange about Liza, his arms felt comforting snuggling me and helped me sleep without any cramps.Later. I can ask him about Liza later.
