Breaker laughs like I’ve told a freaking joke, then kisses my nose and heads to the bar. I walk over to Bri and Marcia who are talking quietly in their usual place in the rec room. “Hi, you two, what have you been up to?”
“Nothing much. We have a few ideas for you to look at for the wedding, but we need to speak with Whack first,” Bri replies after taking a drink of the iced-tea in front of her.
Marcia grins. “Take no notice of her, Molly. She’s pissed that Julia keeps hitting on Saddle.”
“She doesn’t?” I’m shocked enough to ask.
Bri nods. “Oh, she does, but I’m pissed he doesn’t push her away from him.”
“Oh…” That’s all I manage to say before Bri jumps to her feet and stares at something across the room. Shit, Saddle is standing looking down at Julia who has her hand on his chest. But the bad part is the fact that he is not pushing her away from him.
Bri slaps her drink on the table splashing it across the table right before she storms over to the pair of them. Attracting everyone in the rec room as she stomps across and I mean not daintily. “Get your fuckin’ hands off my man.”
“Well, your man doesn’t have an issue with it,” Julia brags right before Bri reacts.
Bri rears her arm back and punches Julia in the face, and as she staggers back Bri follows through and punches her again. As she is falling backwards Bri kicks her legs from under her and laughsharshly as she points at her. “You go near my man again and see what you get.”
Saddle is doing and saying nothing, which has Bri even more riled up than she was. She rears her leg back and kicks his shin as hard as she can. Now, watching a biker hopping around on one foot cursing the air blue is quite a funny sight, but not a person in the rec room dare laugh.
Bri, with tears running down her cheek’s snarls at Saddle. “Don’t come home; you're not welcome.” I watch with my mouth gaping open as Bri storms out of the rec room.
Marcia taps my arm. “I’m going with Bri. You stay and speak with Whack.”
“Shouldn’t I come with you?” I’m still watching Saddle rubbing his shin, and Julia crying, and I mean ugly crying. Total devastation is what it is when this is the aftermath of how they have made Bri feel.
“No, she’ll want to be on her own, but she’ll suffer me being with her because I’ve been where she is, and she was there for me.”
“Okay, but if I can do anything I’ll come.”
“I know you will. You sort out with Whack, but look at the ideas we had,” Marcia quickly says as she grabs her purse and follows Bri out of the rec room, giving Saddle a very nasty look as she passes. She snarls at Julia too, which makes Julia flinch and rush out of the rec room.
I look over my shoulder at Breaker who is smirking at Saddle, right before shaking his head at him. He must sense me looking at him as he turns and gives me an outrageous wink and smirk. I frown, which of course makes Breaker throw his head back laughing.
Turning my back on him, I open the folder that Marcia left for me to look at and see where they are going with the theme. I admit I love it, and it is going to fit perfectly with our dresses if Whack will allow it. Picking up the folder I look around, and not seeing Whack I head straight to his office.
I admit I gave Saddle a filthy look as I passed and crossed my eyes and stuck my tongue out at Breaker. I’m sure he finds me his type of funny for the day, because he again laughs loudly at my antics.
Knocking on the door I enter when Whack calls, “Come in.”
“I hope it’s not too late to have a word with you?” I ask and try to keep my voice sweet.
“What can I do for you, Molly?” Whack leans back in his seat and gives me all his attention.
“Well, I have this theme that I thought would be nice for the wedding if you would allow it.” I drop the folder in front of Whack and take a seat where I wait patiently for him to look over the idea.
“I like it. It’s not that flimsy bows and frilly shit everywhere. It’s more biker-like, you know tough and not…”
“Yeah, I know. I’m not that sort either Whack. Do you want to see our dresses, but…you are sworn to secrecy?”
Whack frowns and is about to say no, when he must see something in my face and nods. I walk over and open my phone, scrolling to the photographs at the dress shop. I explain that Bri and Marcia’s are the opposite color to mine, and he nods, showing he understands, before he looks at the phone.
“Fuck, Molly, that is stunning. Breaker is going to go crazy when he sees you in that.” Whack smiles as he looks up at me. “Shame they didn’t kidnap me, Molly. I’d have jumped to tie you up as my old lady, but alas…” Whack holds a hand dramatically over his heart, “It wasn’t to be.”
I kiss Whack's cheek as I take my phone and give him a huge smile. “I think we can do this end of next week if Bull gets the license in time.”
Whack grins, “I’ll get him on the case, so don’t you worry none. I’ll make sure this will happen end of next week. How about Saturday?”
“That would be great.” Walking out of the office, I feel delighted, and now I have something good to tell Bri and Marcia. That’s if Bri is going to be up for a wedding by then?
