Outside I wave at prospect Leo and the brother of the day, Winger. Honestly, it’s difficult to keep track of all these names. I actually called Riddle, Piddle by mistake last week. His face was horrified, and I realized what I’d done and broke down laughing, all the while trying to apologize. Obviously, Riddle didn’t think it was funny, but my goodness it really was.

Winger shouts, “Where are you heading?”

“The Barber Shop!” I do my best to shout back, and he must hear me as he gives me a nod. They both follow behind me as I walk the short distance. Once reaching the shop I open the door and smile at Andy who is sweeping thick dust and dirt from the floor.

“Hi, Molly. We have everything ripped out and ready for the new now.” Andy leans his broom handle against the wall and walks over to me.

“Wow, you have really worked hard. Nothing left of what was here when I came last. But it is ready now for the rebuild, if I can call it that.”

Thorn appears from the back of the shop, which I know leads to the restrooms. “Hi, Molly, what do you think?”

“I just said to Andy that you have worked hard to get everything removed and ready to put all the new in.” My eyes roam around the empty shop, and it sounds hollow at this point. But I can see the plans in my mind of what Andy and Thorn want to do with the place. “It’s going to be good. I can see it in my mind's eye, and it will look great when you have finished it.”

“President Whack is awesome and has been more than surprising in his support. All the things you think you know about a motorcycle club could be wrong. Depending on the club, I suppose. I’m happy I got away from the farm and am now with Andy and have a goal to reach for.” Thorn gives me a look that I’m not sure how to read, but I reach out and squeeze his forearm gently. It’s enough that he gives me a small smile, which makes me smile in return.

“So, are the brothers going to help you get this place in order?” I ask as I step away from them and further into the room.

Andy replies, “Yes, Prophet, Chips, Bear and Winger are coming to help. They have the list of things we need and are purchasing and arranging delivery. We just have to go to the wholesale place and get paint for the walls.”

“Cool, I think you two, and myself were lucky to meet Breaker as he inadvertently brought us here and had our lives going in a different, but a better direction.”

Andy throws his arm around my shoulders and kisses my temple. “Molly, I think I would have been dead by now. They would have come back after that last beating, and it would have been the next beating that would kill me. I’m positive that is what would have happened.”

Thorn I notice is nodding in agreement, which makes this all so frightening. “Well, let’s not be morbid. We are here now. We have better lives. We won!”

Andy gives me a huge toothy smile. “We did, didn’t we!”

My phone rings and taking it out of my purse I see it is Bri calling. “I have to answer this guys.” I step away from them and take the call.

“Hi, Bri, what’s up?”

“Molly, tonight we are coming to sneak you out of yours. The MC has Carrie-Anne in the shed…”

“What?” I gasp, my eyes flicking to Andy as I don’t want him to know what’s going on if we are going to be sneaking. I lower my voice, but it is harder than with my last words. “That bastard never said a word to me last night. I’m going to kill him when I’ve killed her.”

“You are going to do a lot of killing, Molly.” Bri laughs.

“Yeah, I am. I’ll be an expert and Whack can use me as an assassin…”

“Shut up!” Bri laughs at my ridiculous statement. “You be ready to sneak out the back so those watching the front of your place don’t see you. If Breaker is home, he’ll have to be asleep before we get you out, so text me with what is happening.”

“Okay, I can do that. I’ll make him a very strong nightcap if necessary.” I giggle because only I know that I have sleeping medication from the doctor for my insomnia. Thankfully, I’ve not had it lately, so I can, if needed slip one into his nightcap.

“Everything okay?” Thorn asks when I put the phone back into my purse.

“Yes, everything is wonderful. I’ve got to get back to work now or I’ll be getting my marching orders.” I get out of the shop and make my way quickly back to the practice before I’m in trouble for my lunch taking too long.

It is late in the evening, and Breaker is lying next to me alternately snoring or rolling around. He’s taken to throwing an arm around my waist and tucking my back into his front. I gave him the sleeping pill earlier, possibly too damn early as he keeps making slapping noises with his mouth as though he’s waking up. Well, what’s done is done, and now I gently squeeze my way out from under his arm. I tucked my pillow where I had been, and he pulled it to him, laying his arm and head against it before going back into hopefully a peaceful sleep.

Out of bed, I rush around and get dressed. I wear dark jeans, a tee and a black hoodie that is Breakers. It’s very large on me and nearly goes to my knees, but it will keep me under cover if needed when I get to the compound.

Stepping out of the front door of the house, I lock it, and rush over to Bri’s vehicle. Opening the door, I close it as quietly as I can and turn to look at her.

“Well, you know we are going to be in biiiggg trouble after this don’t you?” Bri has a damn huge smile on her face.

“No, don’t tell me. I do not want to know, and if I see you walking like you’ve been horse riding for a month, then I’m walking in the opposite direction.”

Bri laughs and mumbles something that sounds like, she can’t wait. I’m not sure about Bri and Marcia because they seem on the weird side when it comes to punishments. I’m not having anyone touch my ass, and that is the end of the matter. I said it more than once, and I’ll say it again, it’s an exit only.
