He pulls back; there is so much emotion in his eyes I find it hard to breathe. And as much as I know, it’s wrong. I say the words he needs to hear.

“Kiss me, Wy,” I whisper breathlessly, holding his gaze.

And he does. He kisses me with all the pent-up anger and hurt that mirrors mine. He kisses me for lost time, and he kisses me goodbye. I let the hurt I feel in my soul free, and I meet every stroke of his tongue. I feel his erection press against me, and I lean in closer to him. He grips my ass, picks me up, and I wrap my legs around him, a moan escaping my lips.

“Make me yours, Wyatt,” I beg.

“Not here, not like this,” he growls.

A knock at the door causes my heart to jump. “Hayley, you in here?”

Logan, I mouth as he sets me down. I don’t say a word. I can’t. I wrap my arms around my best friend and first love, searching his eyes, which are now guarded.

When I hear Logan’s footsteps retreating, I unlock the door and leave Wyatt in that stall. My heart racing and my pulse erratic. And I knew that something has to give.
