Trapped for Christmas

“The Range Rover is completely covered.”

“What are we going to do?”

“I’ll make some calls, but first I want my breakfast.”

“Okay, do you need any help?”

Mason looked him up and down before stalking toward the bed. It was then Zeb realized Mason wasn’t talking about food.

On Thursday, enough snow had been cleared for them to walk into town. There was more snow predicted for Friday night, so they were hoping they could get away tomorrow morning, or they’d be spending the weekend here as well. Zeb knew Mason would be worried about leaving Epicure for so long. They’d spent most of Wednesday in bed, where Mason had pulled five orgasms out of Zeb with his talented hands and mouth. They still hadn’t fucked, and Zeb wondered if Mason was waiting for him to say he was ready. It was something he wanted, but when Mason had his mouth on him, every thought went out of his head.

Now, he was heading into the town center on his own. Mason hadn’t been keen, but he needed to speak to the events team about some Christmas parties they were hosting at Epicure. It was as if they were living in this perfect dream. The only downside was that the longer they stayed in Cherry Falls, the less Zeb wanted to go back to New York. He liked it here, with it just being the two of them. Back home, they would have to see other people who’d have opinions about their relationship.

He walked into the café, which was surprisingly busy given the weather. It had stopped snowing, but it was still bitterly cold.

“Zeb!” screamed Alison, rushing over and giving him a hug.

“Hi Alison.”

“Come over here. I want you to meet someone.”

“Can I get a drink first?”

“Make him a Cherry Falls Hot Chocolate,” she said to Anders, before dragging Zeb over to a booth.

His jaw practically dropped, which was really inappropriate given he was with Mason, but the man she was with was hot as fuck. His face looked like it had been chiseled from marble, and the tattoos on his neck made him look like a mafia don. Not that Zeb had ever met one, but if you were going by those online short films that always had a young guy who was drop-dead gorgeous as the “youngest and most powerful don” in history. The ones where he usually treated his wife like shit, and then she left him and destroyed his empire. Zeb loved a bad bitch getting revenge on her cheating husband, but the men were also hot. You’d see the same actors in various films with recycled storylines. He’d lost many an hour watching that addictive trash.

“I think Dante is the only person you didn’t meet the other day. This is Zeb. The boy I was just talking about,” said Alison.

“The tattooist?” asked Zeb, remembering his shop was closed. Why had Alison been talking about him?

“I prefer artist,” he replied. His voice was deep and had an edge to it. “Do you have any ink?”

“No. It’s something I’ve thought about, though.” It was true, but he was procrastinating about what it was he wanted.

“I’d be very happy to help you lose your virginity.”

Zeb snorted. Dante smiled with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

“Where’s Mason?” asked Alison.

“Work stuff. He’s going to meet me here later.”

Zeb had just wanted a change of scenery and some fresh air. Mason had grumbled but agreed Zeb could go out as long as he wrapped up and walked slowly. He’d also had to send a text when he was safely at the café, which he’d done before he walked in the door.

“I’ve got to get back, but why don’t you chat to Dante. Anders is coming over with your drink now.”

Zeb wasn’t sure what was going on, but this town was quirky. You could do worse than have someone like Dante for company. He wasn’t sure what Mason would have to say about it—the man definitely had a jealous streak—but he had nothing to worry about. Zeb loved Mason, although he hadn’t said it to him yet.

Zeb had been thinking about a tattoo, and he might get some advice on the best approach and how to find a talented artist who would respect his vision. Not that he had one. He sipped the hot chocolate and almost came again. There was a hint of cherry in it, but it wasn’t overly sweet. It tasted incredible.

“So, Zeb, what brings you to Cherry Falls?” said Dante.

“Oh, my . . . my . . . boyfriend has a cabin here.”

That was something he’d never said out loud, even to Mason. They hadn’t discussed labels, but Mason had made it clear they were together. Maybe he shouldn’t have made that declaration to a stranger when he hadn’t discussed it with Mason yet.

“I’m guessing it’s new,” said Dante.
