“Everything okay?” he asks.
“Yep. Found them.”
“Randall and Evangeline?”
“Back at their posts.”
His eyebrows rise.
“I didn't even have to threaten bodily harm.”
“Progress.”
“Ha-ha.”
His attention shifts past me.
He stops. Then his entire expression changes. Surprise flashes across his face.
“Grimm?”
I glance behind me. Grimm hasn't moved. Wulfy takes a step forward.
“Grimm, is that you?”
Okay.
Interesting.
Very interesting.
“You know him?”
Wulfy doesn't answer me. He's already walking toward Grimm.
And Grimm—well.
Grimm smiles.
Not that tiny almost-smile he's been giving me.
An actual smile.
“Hello, Wulfredo.”
He calls him Wulfredo? I bite my lip.
Oh, I'm tucking that away for later.
Dora is going to love this.
Wulfy crosses the distance between them and holds out his hand. Grimm takes it.
The two men clasp hands with the kind of familiarity that tells me this isn't some casual acquaintance.
They know each other. Really know each other.
