The Prince of a Frozen Hell

By midafternoon, I accepted three things.

One, the storm wasn’t stopping. Two, I wasn’t getting back to Seoul anytime soon. And three, I was beginning to resent my bestie snow on a deeply personal level.

Apparently, the damn roads are closed, and the flights are grounded.

As if that isn’t bad enough, my phone is even more useless than it was last night.

No signal.

No messages.

Which brings me to the actual worst part.

I’ve spent the entire morning brooding in this gorgeous room and have come to the horrifying realization that my mother and my best friend have not only conspired against me… the weather has joined them.

I sit with that knowledge for several hours and I let the payback brew. Because if there is one thing I believe in, it’s that revenge is best served cold. Which is especially convenient when you’re trapped in a snowstorm.

I thought about it while I read half a book. I thought about it while I took a bath with my sister’s latest skin product. Sparkly collagen bath bombs.

I thought about it while I read another thirty pages.
