A Threat, Not A Promise

She grabs the edges until her knuckles turn white, the dress still hugging her thick thighs. My cock twitches and I roll my eyes at myself, blowing out the smoke in her face.

“Don’t,” she snaps, snatching the pen and making another move to stab me in the shoulder. Catching her wrist midair I make a tsk sound.

“Don’t cross the line,” I warn, and she bares her teeth at me. With one hand, I keep her locked in place. I like the way my fingers melt against her waist. She’s signed two out of the thirteen, so I think before the night is through, we’ll be done. If she doesn’t kill me first. Fuck, in the beginning this was only meant to be a business transaction so me and Moon could get what we wanted. Then, why am I having the most fun I’ve had in years. Not even killing a man or closing a deal with Moon comes close to the feeling of having her look up at me with the overwhelming amount of loathing reflected in her blue eyes. She’s giving Moon’s little psycho a run for his money. I adjust myself again; we’re going to have so much fun together.

Dash and Tian

This motherfucker, I scream in my head. I hate the way he’s smoking his cigarette, those cold calculating eyes scanning the room as he takes his seat in the chair opposite me. He spreads his legs wide, placing a hand next to his bulge. Damn him and his thick thighs. He winks at me and pushes a couple stray locks behind his ear, never taking his eyes off me. His cheekbones can cut through glass, and those plump lips tilt up in the right corner while he smokes his cigarette.

The fucker is tall, at almost six feet, his tailored suit hugs his broad shoulders and his defined waist in the best possible ways. But there’s something wrong with his amber eyes, there’s something crazy in them. He smiles way too much too. Moon takes the crown with the craziness, but Tian comes in close at second place. I mean I’ve heard the stories how he likes to stab people with the pen he always keeps in his pocket if they don’t behave, but seeing his crazy eyes directed at me, fuck. I’m panicking and spiraling at the same time. I have eleven more papers to sign. Damn, I’m already sort of married.

His lips tip up slightly in the right corner. He leans back against the headrest, pushing a hand in his pocket while he stares me down.

“You will sign,” he declares, sounding bored out of his mind. There’s a slight change in that hoarse timbre when I catch him looking at my legs and the cut on my right thigh revealing my skin through the pantyhose.

A shiver goes through me the moment his eyes flick up my thighs. I quickly push the dress down, hiding the fact my panties are damp from this little back and forth.

“Why?” I counter. “Why me? Why you? I thought you only cared about the Triad. You and Moon have been conquering so many new territories, are El and I just another thing to add to the list or something?”

He laughs and it sounds crazy. “You heard what the lawyer said, I need your blood. And Moon was so kind to give it to me.”

“You know that’s crazy right? You’re fucking crazy for thinking like that. You all are, even Moon.”

His gaze narrows. I’ve struck a nerve. His hair falls in front of his face, and I have the urge to move closer as he rolls his chair forward to brush it out of his eyes. My breath catches, my heart going into overdrive. I detest him. I definitely don’t like him, I think, as he stops inches from me. Staring at him, I can count every single black eyelash framing his dark, brooding eyes.

It’s like he can hear me when he lifts his head. He grins, his teeth still covered in blood from when I punched him before.

He keeps smirking, the left corner of his mouth hikes up as he stands, pushing his chair back slamming against the wall where it crashes to the floor. I get up too, pushing him with my fists against the wall. He looks at the palm currently in the middle of his chest, the pressure point making it impossible for him to move.

“Sign the goddamn papers.” He sighs, before wiggling his damn eyebrows at me.

I kick my knee forward, once again managing to make contact with his package. Now it’s my time to grin. Take that motherfucker.

He wheezes and grabs his cock, stumbling forward before losing his balance and falling on top of me against the table, knocking the wind right out of my chest.

“Can you stop punching me in the nuts, woman? We need it for all the babies we have to make,” he snaps, while I burst out laughing. I can’t help it. The way his deep voice sounds like he’s in real pain and doing everything in his power not to hyperventilate. He groans, burying his face in my neck, and I stiffen. Why the hell was I laughing at his joke?

“Move the fuck off me,” I order, pushing at his shoulders.

“I can’t,” he mumbles against my skin, as I break out in goosebumps. “I can’t move, you broke me.”

“Get the hell off me,” I repeat, raising my voice.

He turns his head, and his lips turn up slightly. His breath feels hot against my neck, while I shiver. He groans, pressing himself against my thigh, his hand never letting go of his package. “I need a second, Dash, fuck. I’m going to tell Moon,” he threatens.

“You wouldn’t dare” I taunt, eyeing the ring, then the papers, before he narrows his gaze at me.

He pushes himself up from the table by his fists. Crossing his arms in front of his chest, he stares me down. “There’s no way out, trust me. I don’t like this either. Our names on that piece of paper doesn’t mean anything, and you know it. This is only in name.”

The way he says it so casually makes me feel kind of hurt. I don’t know why. I hate this, and the thought of being married to him makes me want to throw up. We don’t belong together; I know that much. But this is nothing but a means to an end. I’m going to make his life a living hell.

I start to smile, watching his eyes turn to little slits, like he knows what I’m planning. I’m going to make his life hell by not giving him what he wants, an heir. I know he needs it to secure more votes. He’s not getting them. That’s it. I’m going to resist like Eliot has been doing with my brother.

“Okay, fuck,” I curse, grabbing the pen, and the smile I hate grazes his lips again before it’s gone, making place for a stoic dead stare. The same like my brother gets all the time when he looks at Eliot. My hand doesn’t shake as I write my name on the last pages, selling my life. I’m dead, I know I am.

Winking at me, Tian knocks and someone opens the door and the lawyer bows to both of us as he walks in. Eliot and Moon are nowhere to be found. I pout as the lawyer quickly secures the papers along with the pen I was planning to use as a weapon to stab the devil in the dick. The lawyer again bows to both of us, before hurrying out of the room, leaving us alone in silence with the only sound coming from the low buzz of the boat engine.
