Those words forced him to move and next thing I knew he was positioning himself between my legs, his weight settling over me. When he pushed inside me, we both groaned. The sensation of being filled by him was overwhelming, making my thoughts scatter like frightened birds. He was everywhere and I only wanted more. I wrapped my legs around his waist, pulling him deeper.
“Look at me,” he commanded. “Don’t take your fucking eyes off of me.”
I opened my eyes—because when had I closed them?—and found him staring down at me, taking every inch of my reactions to him in. He held himself still for one devastating moment, buried deep inside me with his eyes locked on mine.
“Sutton,” he said, but he didn’t continue.
And I was no help because I couldn’t speak. My hands moved to his shoulders, fingers digging into muscle as he began to move. Slow, deliberate strokes that built an ache and a need so deep I couldn’t tell where my body ended and his began.
Cain adjusted his angle slightly, and the change sent sparks shooting up my spine. His pace remained unhurried as if he had all the time in the world to unravel me. And he was doing one hell of a job.
“You feel that?” he whispered in my ear. “Do you feel how perfectly we fit together?”
I shouldn’t have nodded, but I did. My body was betraying me with every sensation as every nerve within me was on high alert. His hand slid beneath me, lifting my hips slightly. This new angle allowed him to go deeper, hitting spots that made stars explode behind my eyelids. I bit my lip to keep from crying out, but he caught what I’d done.
“Don’t you dare stop yourself from making a sound,” he commanded. “I want to hear you.”
As if his words had broken some dam inside me, sounds began escaping my throat with each thrust. Small gasps that grew louder as he maintained his amazing pace.
“You feel so fucking good,” he groaned, the words vibrating off the walls. “So tight. So perfect.”
His words shouldn’t have mattered. They should have been noise, meaningless praise designed to keep me compliant with what we were doing. But they landed somewhere deeper that I didn’t have time to examine right now.
“Holy hell,” I managed to get out as he pounded into me. He shifted again, one hand sliding between us to find where we were joined. The pad of his thumb pressed against my clit, and I gasped so loudly it startled me. The sensation was electric as my hips rolled against him without permission.
“There,” he said as if he’d found something he’d been looking for. “You’re close,” he said matter-of-factly.
“I’m not—” The denial dissolved into a moan as his thumb circled my clit.
“You are,” he insisted. “You’re shaking.”
I couldn’t deny it. My whole body began to tremble against him once more as he continued his relentless assault. The combination of his cock filling me, his thumb working its magic, and his eyes holding mine captive was too much.
“Let go,” he commanded. “I want to feel you come around me again.”
His words shouldn’t have worked. They shouldn’t have shattered what little resistance I had left. But when his thumb pressed harder, when his hips snapped forward with just the right angle, I felt myself breaking apart.
“Cain,” I gasped just before I repeated his name like a chant.
The orgasm crashed through me with unexpected force. Cain didn’t slow down. If anything, he increased his pace, driving into me as I came apart beneath him. He was chasing after his own climax and when his eyes met mine once more, a groan left his lips that was louder than I’d ever heard.
For several moments, neither one of us moved. The only sounds that could be heard in the room were our own, breathing as we tried to catch our breath. Cain’s forehead rested against mine, but he had his eyes closed as he struggled to regain control. I shifted my gaze from him to look at the ceiling, trying to make sense of what had just happened between us.
Before either one of us could speak, a phone rang. I knew it wasn’t mine since I didn’t have access to it. The ringtone sounded muffled, so I assumed it was Cain’s and it currently sat under his clothes that he’d quickly discarded and left on the ground. Cain didn’t move immediately. His eyes opened, found mine, and for one breathless moment, the room stood perfectly still. The phone continued to ring and I watched him decide whether to answer it or stay exactly where he was, buried inside me.
I saw the exact instant the world outside this room reclaimed him. Something shifted in his facial expression and the problem-solving part of his brain, the one that never fully powered down, had come back online.
He pulled out of me slowly and the absence of him was immediate and cold. I didn’t let myself react to the loss, but I adjusted myself quickly to get out of the wet spot of my own making.
Cain didn’t look at me as he stood. What shocked me is that he didn’t immediately go to grab his phone. Instead, he went to the bathroom and came back with a damp cloth in one hand and a glass of water in the other. The sight of both made me feel something in my chest that I hated more than the soreness between my thighs.
“Drink,” he said.
“I’m not one of your employees.”
“No,” he said, sitting on the edge of the bed. “You’re much harder to manage.”
I should have snapped at him or slapped his hand away when he reached for me. But his touch still did something to me. He was much more careful now, almost infuriatingly so, as he softly parted my thighs enough to clean me.
