“I’m sorry,” Daisy squeaks.

“Why would you do that?”

“Whoa, what’s going on?” Addy asks.

“That was Ryan on the phone. He’s super pissed. I’m guessing my brother got involved after you talked to him.”

“Emma, I’m sorry,” she says.

“I think you guys should leave.”

“Emma…” Addy says, trying to calm me down.

“Please, leave.” My voice is hard and cold. I’m so angry that my friend went behind my back and told my brother what I told her in private. I thought I could talk to them. I thought they would keep my secrets.

“Okay, we’re going. Call me tomorrow, okay?” Addy asks and I nod. She gives me a hug.

“I really am sorry, Emma.”

“I don’t want to hear it, Daisy. You’ve been my friend a lot longer than you’ve been hooking up with Tucker. You should have known that I wouldn’t want him to know.”

“Come on, Daisy,” Addy urges and Daisy follows her out the front door. “I’ll talk to you tomorrow, Em.”

She closes the door behind her and I flop down on the couch.

Now all I have to do is sit here and wait for Ryan to get home to ‘deal’ with me.
