“Wonderful. Make them elsewhere. And be dressed when you come to fetch her.”
Mitchell looks at me. I grin.
“What?” I ask innocently.
“Are you enjoying this?”
“You mean watching you getting bullied by a woman?” I ask before adding. “ Immensely.”
“Traitor.”
That word shouldn't sound affectionate.
But it does.
My smile falters. Just a little.
Oh boy.
The designer is already moving around me.
“Shoes?”
“Needed.”
“Jewelry?”
“No.”
“We'll discuss it.”
“There is nothing to discuss.”
“Hair?”
“My hair is fine.”
“Your hair is beautiful. I asked what we're doing with it.”
I look at Mitchell.
“Help.”
He lifts both hands.
“You're on your own, Firecracker.”
“You caused this.”
“Technically, that saleswoman caused this.”
“Mitchell.”
The designer steps between us.
“Enough flirting.”
“We're not flirting.”
