“What is this?” I repeated my voice shaking now cracking.
He straightened up but stayed right there between my spread legs. His face stayed completely calm. He studied me for a moment, almost puzzled. “I’m married.”
Tears welled up instantly, burning hot in my eyes. I froze there on the table, legs still parted obscenely around him, the pretty lace bodysuit suddenly feeling cheap and ridiculous on my skin.
“What?”
“A month ago,” he said flatly with no guilt or shame. He spoke as if it was just a simple fact like he was telling me the weather or what time it was. He looked genuinely confused by the tears starting to spill down my cheeks. “Why are you crying Maggie?”
The words hit me like a slap. Tears spilled over, racing down my cheeks in hot streaks. My chest heaved as the reality crashed down.
“You married Samantha? While keeping me here in your beach house like your personal whore? I thought this house meant something. I thought you were building this for us.”
Richard’s eyes stayed locked on mine steady and intense, his hands still resting heavily on my thighs like he still owned every inch of me.
“I’ve given you everything you need. Why is it an issue Maggie?”
“Fuck you Richie!” I choked out voice breaking completely as more tears poured down. I pushed hard at his solid chest but he did not budge an inch. “I’ve done everything you wanted. Everything! I have been here waiting every single day! Cooking for you, dressing up like this, letting you fuck me whenever you felt like it, however you wanted!”
He just stared at me, that intense unreadable gaze never wavering.
“I have played the perfect little kept woman in this isolated house. And you give everything to her?”
The silence stretched painfully broken only by my sobbing breaths and the distant indifferent crash of the ocean waves outside. He still looked puzzled like he couldn’t quite understand why any of this was a problem.
“Do you love her?” I whispered barely able to force the words past the lump in my throat.
“Yes.”
Fresh tears poured faster. The room seemed to tilt around me.
“Do you love me?”
“Yes.”
The answer should have meant something, it should’ve been enough but it only twisted the knife deeper.
“Then why? Why would you marry her?”
Richard shrugged slightly like it was the simplest most obvious thing in the world. “Because I wanted to.”
Rage and heartbreak exploded in my chest burning hotter than anything I had ever felt. I grabbed the half full wine glass from the table beside me and hurled it with everything I had left. It sailed past his head and smashed violently against the wall, red wine exploding like blood across the pristine white paint, glass shards raining down onto the floor.
I shoved him hard and slid off the table on shaky legs, the robe flapping open, the lace bodysuit disheveled and twisted on my body.
“Don’t fucking touch me!” I snapped.
I stormed down the hall toward the bedroom, my bare feet slapping against the cool floors, tears blurring everything around me. The dream house that had felt like paradise for two months now felt like nothing but a luxurious cage built just for me.
I heard his heavy footsteps behind me. He was coming after me.
I barely made it halfway down the hall before his strong hand clamped around my upper arm, yanking me backward until my back slammed against his tall muscular chest. His other arm banded around my waist pinning me there completely. I could feel the heat radiating off his body and the hard length of his cock still straining in his pants.
“You’re not going anywhere Maggie,” he growled low and dangerous right against my ear. “You don’t get to leave unless I say so. You don’t get to walk away from me. This changes nothing. You will stay right where I put you.”
I fought him hard twisting and shoving at his broad chest as fresh sobs tore out of me. Tears streamed down my face in hot messy trails.
“How could you do this to me?” I cried, my voice raw and shattered. “I have been here for you every single day and every single night. How could you marry her?”
