Belladonna’s Nightmare

“Did everyone get taken? Was it only us?” Rose barked.

“Is the rest of the club here? And why is Teddy?” Tinkerbell insisted.

“Did you see anyone?” I pushed.

“No. Only those canisters landing,” Belladonna replied.

“I’ve a feeling the rest of the club is here. I don’t know why we’ve been separated, but they’ve gotta be here. Keep trying to link with Sparrow,” Sapphire ordered.

“Why were we kidnapped?” Sailor asked. Were they really talking inside my mind? It was so confusing.

“Welcome to the group,” Sapphire said sarcastically.

“How the hell does this work?” Hatton demanded, finally getting his head around it.

“Aim at us,” Blade replied.

“Like this?” Hatton boomed.

“Turn it down,” Wylde cried.

“Sorry,” Hatton murmured. “We’re at the Portsmouth Naval Prison in Maine. Can you see a window? Look outside and check if you are here, too.”

“I don’t take orders from you,” Sailor snapped.

“Sailor, enough. Do it,” Sapphire ordered.

“We are. I can spot the triangle roof to our left; I think we’re in the right-hand tower at the end,” Belladonna replied.

“I see the same, so I believe you’re close to us,” Hatton replied.

“…ladonna!” Nun screeched.

“We’re here!” several of us said.

“Blue’s missing. I’m gonna gut me a cunt!” Nun cursed.

That was one pissed-off woman. Hatton and I swapped glances.

“Are you at the clubhouse?” Sapphire asked.

“No. Where the fuck are we? Where’s my man?” Nun was winding herself up; I recognised the signs. It masked the fear she was feeling. I understood because I felt the same.

“We’ve been separated into groups,” Sapphire quickly explained.

“There’s Sparrow, Vengeance, Priest, Maid, and Candle with me,” Nun said.

“Belladonna, keep try reaching the others,” Sapphire ordered.

“Nothing yet; they might still be unconscious,” Belladonna responded. “Nun, can you see where you are?”

“We’re in a cell, and I can’t see much. Huh, Priest thinks we’re in the right-hand tower,” she replied.

“Okay. We’re going to bust out, work on picking your locks and wait for us,” Sapphire said.

I pushed at the door and growled when it didn’t open. I peered around. “Anyone got anything to help break us out?”

“No,” Hatton replied.
