Rhyven puts the paper down. "If those records exist, waiting achieves nothing." Simple. Reasonable. Done.
Cassian leans forward. "So we're going."
"No one said that." Caelen replies.
"Rhyven did."
"I said we should." Rhyven corrects.
"Same thing."
"No."
"Emotionally, yes." Rhyven stares at him. Cassian smiles. Brave man.
"Security." Caelen says.
"Five people." Rhyven answers. "Two Chiefs. One Blood Echo." He looks toward me. "One siren trace."
Cassian straightens. "Finally recognized."
"And Nyra." Nyra narrows her eyes. Rhyven considers. "Research." She accepts. Probably wise.
Caelen looks toward the ceiling. "Fine." Victory.
"Tomorrow morning." Nyra says.
"Tomorrow morning." Caelen agrees.
"Full authorization."
"Direct route."
"Library only."
"No wandering."
Cassian's face falls. "No Place?"
"No."
"This expedition has lost all joy."
"Good."
"Closed holdings?" Nyra asks.
"We request access." Rhyven says.
"And if they refuse?" Cassian asks.
Caelen's eyes immediately move toward me. Then Rhyven. "Nobody breaks into anything."
I blink innocently. "We didn't say anything."
"Exactly." Rhyven looks toward me. His mouth almost moves. I see it. Caelen does not. Good.
Nyra gathers the papers. Cassian follows her out.
