“Give me your phone.”
Callie’s eyebrows raise. Then she reaches into her coat pocket, unlocks it, and hands it over without hesitation.
I enter my number, then call my phone. It vibrates in my hand.
Callie watches me.
I save myself in her contacts. Roman. Nothing else.
I hand the phone back.
She looks at the screen, then at me.
Her expression changes. “You're giving me your number?”
“Obviously.”
Her smile returns, brighter this time.
Fucking dangerous.
I immediately regret everything.
“Does this mean I don't have to ask half of Hollow Creek where you are anymore?”
“Yes.”
“Because I was getting really good at it.”
“I heard.”
Her eyes narrow. “You heard?”
I shove my phone into my pocket. “Beck told me.”
“Who’s Beck?”
“A friend.”
She smiles. “Oh. Well, he could’ve helped me find you sooner.”
I look down at my only pair of soaked jeans, then back at Callie. “Might’ve been dangerous if he did.”
Her gaze drops to my crotch again… and remains there. I know that look.
“No.”
“I didn't say anything.”
“You were about to.”
“I was going to offer you pants.”
“You don't have men's pants.”
“I might.”
My eyes narrow. “Why?”
