“You want that?” A surprised expression lit his face. “Can I...” His fingers brushed her lips.

Georgia nodded. It was all she wanted. She gripped his hair, her pulse pounding.

The desire in his eyes burst heat through her, and she clung to Ash as he lowered his mouth so slowly to hers.

The feel of his hard muscles and strong arms almost undid her. Screw that. She was undone. He’d won. Although this wasn’t a competition, and she felt like the victor as her heart beat so fast she thought it might burst.

Ash pressed a closed-mouth kiss to her lips, as if testing the boundaries. He did it again and again, his touch bolder each time.

Georgia felt the slight scratch of stubble against her chin as his next kiss lingered and he bent back her head. Her world spun as she felt his mouth touch her so gently. It was so different to what she was used to. It was perfection.

Ash kept the pace slow, a small taste here, a gentle nibble there, making her dizzy and gasp. His mouth opened against her shaking lips, sending wild tremors along her nerves.

As their tongues touched, sensations she’d never known she was capable of feeling burst through her.

She clung to Ash as the kisses deepened and lost herself in his warm, safe embrace.

So, this was what she’d been missing out on all this time. Georgia felt out of control, overwhelmed, and full of love. She’d never felt happier.

This was what truecontentment felt like. Ash grinned. He adored his feisty human, and she was welcome to every inch of him, including more of those kisses, which he intended never to stop giving her.

And her mouth on his set a fire going in his belly that had yet to die out.

His cock throbbed to be inside her, but this wasn’t about sex. This was about their connection. It was a physical declaration of love.

His heart felt full of hope. Georgia was finally his.

They lay on the couch, both panting as they got their breaths back from all the steamy, drugging kisses they’d given each other.

“You know, you were right. That was better than sex.” He kissed her forehead, thrilled at how stunning she looked with kiss-bruised lips. It made him want to take this further, but right now, having Georgia open to him was all he’d ever hoped for.

“It’s never been like that before,” she said.

“Because you finally let me in.”

Georgia leaned over and kissed him again.

It was such a new experience, but Ash was more than ready to get used to it. He’d happily kiss Georgia all day.

They lay in silence, content in each other’s arms. This was what they both needed. To feel love and to show love without ripping each other’s clothes off.

“I never thought this would happen,” Georgia said softly.

“Us making out like teenagers?”

She elbowed him in the side. “Us! A real relationship. I just figured what we had was enough.”

“It was to begin with. And I wasn’t looking for anything serious either. I didn’t want to fall for a pain in my butt human with a chip on her shoulder and an attitude worse than Rexx.”

“Hey! You keep talking like that and I may change my mind about us.” Georgia struggled to get out of his arms.

Ash laughed and pulled her back down. “Then you changed my mind. My headstrong, stubborn, amazing human. I can’t help but want you, even though I know the cost.”

“You mean me always pushing you away?”

“No, I mean the chance I could lose you. It would destroy me.”
