“Get on your back,” he said.

“Where’s the fun in that?”

Dazet glowered at her. “Do it.”

Eden sighed and eased onto her back. So long as he didn’t shackle her to the bars, she’d be able to take him. She was so pumped with energy, she was surprised it wasn’t fizzling off her skin.

Just as she’d hoped, Dazet didn’t lock the door of the cage behind him.

Eden beckoned him with a finger. “I’m all yours.”

His hungry gaze ran over her body before he kneeled and shoved her legs open. He dropped on top of her, still holding his gun in one hand.

His erection pressed against her belly, and Eden made sure not to grimace. She lifted a hand to curl it around his neck.

He grabbed her hand and held it down. “Don’t move unless I tell you to.”

“You like to be in charge,” she said. “I can handle that.”

His hand went between her legs, and he pushed her knees wider apart. “I’m going to pound into you, bitch.”

“Then let’s do it. Less talk and more action.”

His gaze locked onto hers, and there was a flash of confusion in his eyes.

“Is something wrong?” she asked.

“I’ve never seen a Human with purple eyes.”

Eden stuffed down her surprise. Her eyes were freakin’ purple? “Oh, sure. It’s rare. Do you like them?” Although she was looking straight at him, she was focused on the gun. The second he relaxed his grip, that weapon was hers.

His fingers scraped across her thigh and to the top of her sleep shorts. He looked down as he struggled to gain access. That was the distraction Eden needed.

She placed her feet either side of his hips and flipped him off her. Then grabbed the gun as he flew through the air and slammed against the side of the cage.

“What the fuck?” he yelled.

Eden slammed her foot into his chest then pivoted and kicked open the cage door, just as his buddy was turning and raising his gun.

Eden fired, and he fell to the ground. She raced out of the cage, slammed the door shut, and locked it.

The trapped Pecket hollered at her. “Let me out of here, you bitch.”

“Nope, I don’t think I will. It’s not much fun, is it, being trapped in a cage with your life about to end? Maybe you’ll think twice before you capture a load of animals that don’t belong to you and mistreat them. That’s if you live through this. Which is doubtful.” She lifted the gun and aimed at him.

Dazet shrank away from her. “You won’t get off this ship alive. There are dozens of us and only one of you.”

“Exactly how many of you are there?”

“We’re thirty strong. Or we were before you killed some of us. You’ll still be crushed.”

Eden grinned. “Thanks for the tip on the numbers. Let’s see what I can do about evening that out.” She checked the other guard was dead before taking his weapons. Then she strode to the control panel on the wall and opened the schematics of the ship.

Her fingers flew over the controls. She was barely aware of what she was doing, but everything made sense. It seemed that Blaze’s ship tech knowledge had weaved its way into her head during the energy transfer.

She locked down most of the ship, apart from the cockpit, and disabled the comms system. Nothing was getting transmitted off this ship, and the crew could no longer talk to each other.

Eden focused on the details of the cockpit. That was where she needed to go.
