She shook her head. “You won’t be able to.”

“I will do anything for my mate. You are mine, Kendra. Say it’s so, and I will let you ride me every day. In fact, I will insist upon it.”

Kendra blinked back the tears again as she laughed. “If it makes you happy.” She gasped as she felt him stiffen inside her.

He grinned, his smile lighting up his whole face. “As I said, I will do anything for you.”

Kendra wrapped her arms around him and kissed him deeply. At last, they were both happy. They’d found each other. They’d finally found acceptance and love.

Chapter 26

“For the sake of viewers who have not been following this exciting story, our new couple met fifteen days ago at a My Single Alien speed dating event.” Ivy was the picture of professional perfection as she sat opposite Kendra and Faron.

Kendra forced herself to smile as a camera bot hovered nearby. She’d agreed to a final interview with Ivy, and it was time to pay up.

“Since then, I’m delighted to reveal they are an official couple and looking forward to a long and happy future together.” Ivy’s laser focus turned to Kendra. “What first drew you to Faron?” There was a glimmer of mischief in her eyes.

Kendra cleared her throat. “Well, he’s very caring.”

Faron gave her hand a reassuring squeeze. Public displays of affection were new to him, but he was learning, and he’d timed that one just right.

“Your relationship got off to a passionate start with that kiss during the speed dating event,” Ivy said. “Was that what really sparked your interest in Faron?”

“Wait a second,” Kendra said. “We’re not talking about our sex life. I told you that before we started this interview.”

Ivy scowled at her. “The public wants to hear something juicy. They don’t want to see lame handholding.”

“Questions of a sexual nature are not an option,” Faron growled.

Kendra felt herself melt a little as her hot alien stood up to Ivy.

Ivy sighed. “Fine, but at least let’s talk about you moving in together after less than three weeks in a relationship. Everyone will be interested in that.”

“That’s an okay topic of conversation.” Kendra looked over at Faron and grinned. She still had to pinch herself when she realized how fast everything had moved. From her first accidental meeting with Faron and their conversation full of misunderstandings to packing her last box of belongings and moving into new quarters with him. It made her head spin. Kendra felt whole, and complete, and utterly in love.

“Let’s keep going,” Ivy said. “We can edit out the bits where you keep interrupting me.”

“Kendra will interrupt you if you say something inappropriate,” Faron said. “Keep your nose out of our private life.”

Ivy quirked an eyebrow. “He’s a hothead, this one.”

“He is, so be careful what you say about him,” Kendra said.

Ivy smirked. “Since your relationship is going so well, could there be wedding bells in the future?”

“We are already joined,” Faron said.

Kendra nodded. “We have completed the Tolong courtship rituals. We are as good as married.”

Faron turned to her. “Would you like a human wedding ceremony? I have never asked you.”

“That is something we’d love to be a part of,” Ivy said. “You play your cards right, and My Single Alien might foot the bill for exclusive rights to the wedding.”

“Tolongs do not play cards,” Faron said, his gaze not leaving Kendra’s. “But if you want a ceremony, I will be happy with that.”

Kendra tilted her head. She was thrilled they were a couple. Did she want the flowers, white dress, and official wedding ceremony? She had no family to invite.

“No, I’m happy as we are. The rituals we went through confirmed our love. We’re committed to spending our lives together. We don’t need anything else.”
