Tegor raised his brows. “Was that not good enough to get you to talk? How about this; I slept with three women in the same night.”

“Distasteful but sort of amazing.”

“Two of them were sisters,” Tegor said.

“Slightly more disturbing.”

“The other one was their mother.”

Elias laughed. “You’re making this up.”

“Hey, I’m a good-looking guy. Draxdans are the poster boys for My Single Alien. Everyone knows us and adores us. We’re the happy blue aliens, who helped save the poor humans. Plus, I have no ties, and I like to explore. I also have this amazing trick with my tongue. The girls go crazy for it. I believe it’s important to share the love.”

“You’ll have to tell me about the trick another time,” Elias said. It might be something Hayley would enjoy. He scowled, and his dark mood descended again. Not that she’d let him anywhere near her.

“I definitely will.” Tegor tilted his chin. “Hayley will be screaming your name when you use it.”

He grunted at how easily Tegor had interpreted his emotions. “If she lets me.”

“Ha! I knew this was about a woman. Did you try it on and she turned you down?”

“Just the opposite. She tried it on with me.” Elias scuffed his foot along the ground as he recalled their blistering kiss.

Tegor clapped him on the back. “That’s amazing. She made the first move. Wait, don’t tell me you turned her down.”

“Hell, no. It was great. It went wrong when I told her about my previous experience with a female Retar.”

“She got jealous?”

“Worse. Hayley was disappointed in me.”

“Ouch! I hate it when they pull the disappointed card. You know, when they say they’re not angry with you, but they’re disappointed, it makes you feel like the worst kind of loser.”

“I still feel it. I wanted to be honest with her. I need her to know I’ve got a past, a past that’s about to catch up with me.”

“What does this past involve?”

Elias glanced around the docking bay. Although times were changing, there was still some Retars who clung to the old ways. If they overheard him talking them down, he’d be seen as a traitor.

“Remember I told you about my experience with a Retar princess?”

Tegor punched him in the arm. “As if I could forget, you sly bastard. You move in interesting circles, even if those circles have weird sexual appetites.”

“It wasn’t like that, and I don’t.”

“Hayley wasn’t impressed that you half-shagged this princess?”

“It’s not that so much. You don’t turn down an order from a member of our royal family.” Elias blew out a long breath.

“I bet the princess is gorgeous. I’ve seen pictures of your royal family. The females are out of this world stunning.”

Elias nodded, recalling her long dark hair, plump lips, and high cheekbones. “She is gorgeous, and she knows it. She uses her beauty to get what she wants, as if being a member of the royal family doesn’t give her enough power.”

“What’s the problem? If Hayley feels inadequate because you’ve been with royalty, tell her not to worry. She has a huge advantage over this princess. She does not fuck you and then eat you.”

Elias yanked up the sleeve of his jumpsuit and touched the scar on his arm. “I was lucky with this bite. She was aiming for my dick. I swung my arm out, and the princess sank her teeth into that instead. I had to shove my fingers between her teeth and pry her jaw apart.”

Tegor stared at him in silence before bursting out laughing. “You missed that bit out of the story. Stars! That would have been worth seeing.”
