“Not interested,” she said.
“Liar.”
“Shut up and start the movie.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
Chapter 13
Jaeda woke up just after dawn the next morning, vaguely surprised that she didn’t have a pounding headache. And also surprised that she was in bed, spooned with someone big and warm and snuggly, her chest up against his broad naked back and her arm tucked beneath his, his hand covering hers, their fingers interlaced.
Whoops. Memory came rushing back. It was Remy McCall she was snuggling. Only he had no shirt on. And his legs were bare. When had that happened?
Oh, hell. Please tell me I’m not naked.
Nope. Fully dressed. And Remy at least had underwear on, though she’d like very much to know what had happened to his fucking pants.
Still, it seemed like nothing had gone on between them. That was a relief. If she’d boned Remy McCall, she’d really like to remember it.
No. She was not boning Remy McCall.
She should probably get out of here. She should definitely get unsnuggled as quickly as possible, so he didn’t get ideas.
Jaeda started untangling her hand and arm from Remy’s, slowly and carefully. Unfortunately, she forgot to watch out for morning wood.
She slid her hand back and there it was, pressing against his boxer briefs. Huge and hard and… wow. She froze, her mind giving so many conflicting directions she couldn’t follow any of them.
Don’t move. You’ll wake him up.
YOU ARE TOUCHING HIS DICK! MOVE!
It can’t really be that big. I should make sure.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT FEEL HIS DICK!
She broke the stasis and moved her hand away as carefully if she’d touched a giant spider and it was still about to pounce. Jaeda sat up, and gave a sigh of relief to have averted total embarrassment.
“Busted,” Remy said, his eyes still closed. “I know you touched my wood. Pervert.”
Humiliation rushed through her. “I did not touch it. I might have brushed up against it. Totally by accident.”
“I think I feel violated.”
Jaeda rolled her eyes. “Even if I had touched your dick on purpose—which I would never do—it would not constitute a violation. I was invited.”
Remy rolled over on his back and opened his eyes. “When was that?”
Jaeda tried to keep her eyes off the tent in the covers made by his damn erection. “Last night, when you told me you didn’t have a knife.”
“‘I don’t have a knife’ is now an invitation? Girl, I hope they have sexual harassment seminars at that company. You need a few things clarified.”
That sexy little grin was at the corner of his mouth again, and Jaeda was getting the unnerving urge to pounce on him and kiss it.
And then violate him for real.
Instead she said, “Stop fucking with me, Remy McCall. I haven’t had my coffee, and I still have my knife.”
Remy rolled back over to his side, still grinning, reached over to the nightstand and tapped a couple keys on his laptop to bring up the hotel security feed.
