“Yeah, she marked me twice. See?” He pointed proudly, showing off his new mark to everybody. “Here…and here.”

“Consider a muzzle too, Yvaine,” Callum told me, shielding his pizza slice from Killian.

“She can leash me anytime,” Logan drawled.

They demolished every scrap of food like the ravenous wolves they were, their good moods contagious. Maybe one day Lachlan could join and I could have all of them together. More quality time.

“So, Luna, how’s your bro?” Tank Man asked. “Does he need some tissues?” Then again…maybe quality time altogether isn’t possible.

“Maybe he’d have a better chance in the Scottish league.” Greg winked at me.

“Dunno, man,” Logan said lazily. “Bunny Doc’s uncles could easily kick your fat ass.”

That launched another debate about the various wereball leagues, complete with exaggerated claims about their victory and how Comet was still licking its wounds.

An hour later, I kicked Logan and Killian’s butts at Call of Duty. I couldn’t have contained my proud smile if I’d tried.

I hadn’t.

“Want some ice for that burn?” Tank Man snickered, punching Killian’s shoulder.

“You can cram it up your ass!” Killian barked.

Callum raised his beer to me. “Our Luna here has some secret powers.”

“How did you do it?” Killian threw the controller onto the floor as I calmly sipped my nightly ginger tea.

Logan gave me a lazy grin from the other couch, his meaty arms stretched along the backrest. “She’s an Easter bunny. Full of surprises. That’s how.”

“I grew up with a brother. And aloe vera is more effective for burns.”

“Oh, so it’s like the Islander beat you up, Killian!” Greg hooted.

“Buuurn!” Tank Man shouted.

“I want a rematch, Sweet Pea!”

Logan let out a breathy laugh, taking another swig of beer.

“It’s okay to lose sometimes, Killy.” I patted his shoulder as he pouted, arms crossed.

“I don’t lose! I never lose!” Killian stole a burger from a guy I’d never seen before. These werewolves were ravenous. And numerous.

I stifled a yawn. “I’m tired now. Next time.”

Logan shot me a glance. That kind of look.

I gulped, not so tired anymore.

“I’m going to see Amaia. You enjoy yourself with the boys.” I blew Logan a kiss and ruffled Killian’s hair.

“Meet me in our room in one hour.” Logan’s sultry voice seeped through the mind-link. “Remember the rule to enter.”

No clothes allowed. He needed to feel the sparks.

And he called it our room.

“Same for you,” I shot back. “You need to shave though.”
