They watched the game in silence, mostly only ribbing each other when their team made a touchdown.
By half-time, her eyes started drooping. It was a Saturday afternoon. Perfect time for a short nap, and since she was surrounded by the intoxicating masculine scent and hard hot male body wrapped around her, it was impossible to fight it.

Roman felt her sink deeper into his arms and heard her breathing even out and deepen, and grinned. He waited for a bit to make sure she was sleeping deeply before he lifted her slowly. He lay down on the sofa, which was actually very comfortable and big enough for his size, and laid her over his chest with her head tucked under his chin.
He pushed the small pillow under his head and pulled the light blanket from the back of the sofa and draped it over them.
His hand stroked up and down her back as he slowly went to sleep. Every time she moved, he’d awaken, tighten his arms, and softly murmur to her until she settled again.
He could see himself doing this for the rest of his life—lazy afternoon naps with her during the weekend.
He’d been serious about a few women in his life, but never to the extent that he thought about forever with them, except his ex-wife. He’d never come close to proposing to any of them until Beth.
The thought should have scared him, but it only made him more determined. He knew it was early in their relationship, but he was already picturing the type of ring to get her.
His family, especially his brother, Tysen, were going to be thrilled. His mom had told him on several occasions that she was worried that he was going to die a bachelor.
As they napped, the game had finished, and a show had come on, but neither noticed.
He came awake when she started moving around. He looked down when she lifted her head and looked confused.
“How did we end up like this?” she murmured.
He grinned. “You fell asleep, and it made me tired, so I laid us down.”
She gasped and tried to scramble off him. “Oh, my God. You slept with me on top of you? I’m so sorry.”
He tightened his grip, holding her in place. “This is exactly where I want you, so stop wiggling.”
She stopped and looked up at him.
He smiled and smoothed her hair that had come loose from her braid away from her face. “I actually thought I could sleep like this for the rest of my life.”
She sucked in a startled breath and stared at him with wide eyes, making him chuckle.
“Am I freaking you out?”
“Umm,” she said. “No, but it’s going really fast. You don’t know a lot about me. What if you find something about me you absolutely hate?”
“I haven’t found anything about you that I don’t love.”
“What if I snore?”
He snorted. “I’ll turn you over.”
“You haven’t seen me in the morning. It could terrify you.”
He grinned. “Doubt it. If a gang member doesn’t scare me, you definitely won’t.”
“I...”
He pressed a kiss to her forehead. “Stop overthinking it. Let’s just enjoy being together and get to know each other.”
She set her chin on his chest. “All right.”
“Good.”
