The next morning, I walked into city hall with two coffees and a box of Halloween themed donuts.

“Good morning,” I announced as I walked into the banquet room.

Amora looked up from her clipboard and smiled. Did she get even more beautiful overnight?

No...no, she didn't.

“Morning.” She replied as she sauntered over, her hips swaying from side to side. It should be a crime to watch her. “You brought me treats?”

I grinned. “Hope you like pumpkin spice coffee and ghost donuts.”

Amora clapped, a gleeful smile etched on her pretty mouth. “Did Colleen tell you?”

“Tell me what?”

“I love donuts. And everything pumpkin.”

I shook my head. “Nope. I took a guess.”

“You're a good guesser.” Amora said as I handed her a coffee and opened the box of donuts.

Her eyes widened as she took them in. She licked her lips. “How will I choose?”

“It's a tough one. I've been eyeing the Frankenstein one.”

“You do sort of look alike.” Amora grinned and I chuckled.

“Good thing I'm too much of a gentleman to say you look like the witch.”

Amora gasped and clutched at her chest. “You wound me.”

This woman. She had me completely smitten. If I wasn't carful, I'd cross the line I set for myself and I couldn't let that happen.

Damn, did she make it hard.

I tried to look anywhere but her face as she enjoyed a ghost donut, her lips smacking together as soft sounds escaped her mouth. Fuck since when did eating donuts become so sexual?

I took the Frankenstein donut and set the box on the table. I needed distance before I tossed my breakfast down and kissed her. “Well guess I better get started. Did you have any trouble finding the supplies I listed?”

Amora shook her head as she ate the last of her donut. “It's all there. If I missed anything, let me know.”

“Okay.” I nodded at her just in time for her to lick her lips and really send me over the edge. If she didn't stop, I'd lose my shit.

I pushed it out of my head and walked away, but that didn't mean the desire went away. No it was very much there, bugging the fuck out of me.

After eating my donut and surveying my supplies, I set to work, her on my mind the whole time. I watched her from the corner of my eye, her every little movement tracked, and I couldn't stop it no matter how hard I tried.

Why her? What was so special about her?

My heart hadn't raced in so long and I've seen women all over town.

But she…she was different. A thousand percent.

By lunch time, I finished the frame of the skeleton.

“It's coming together nicely,” Amora said, her eyes lit up.

“Thank you. So far, it's going smoothly.”
