Of course, we’d have a better shot of connecting if I stepped out of my shell and asked a Daddy to play, but that was for another night. Tonight was all about the music.

I ran through my opening set as the room filled with Littles and Daddies and those who were kinky and curious about this kind of play. The last event drew a lot of people, but nothing like what was pouring in. I soaked it all in.

All the cute boys in pastel onesies and sucking glowing pacifiers made me want to go out there and join them. But I loved working in the booth, controlling the music and feeling it all the way in my bones. I also loved being paid. Paci time would have to wait. I didn’t even know where to find a glowing one.

Branson leaned against the railing beside me, nodding to the beat. "This is one of my favorite songs. Look, they love it too." He pointed toward a cluster of Littles who were jumping around and having fun.

"That's the point." I adjusted a fader and glanced at my next track. “It wouldn’t be a good rave without a reason to dance around and be silly.”

Mark came by with a fresh cup of milk and put it on the shelf beside my equipment. "Figured you could use a refill before the next rush. Don’t want a repeat of last time."

He was right about that. When he offered to get me milk, I told him I needed to finish my set first. In my head, I was gonna snuggle up with a Daddy while drinking it. Instead, I ended up being too late and not getting any. There wasn’t even any pre-pumped milk left, and I might have shed a few tears.

Lesson learned.

"You're the best." He really was, both as a bouncer and an overall good guy who knew how to take care of the staff. He even put it in a disposable sippy cup.

I took a long drink, savoring the creamy goodness and loving that it was still warm. "Tell whichever Daddy this came from that I said thank you."

"It’s from Jason. The one in the black shirt." He walked away and went back to his job of keeping everyone safe.

I knew who Jason was. He’d caught my eye before. It was sweet that he made sure I had some milk. I looked up at Jason and caught him looking back at me. He smiled at me before I got too shy and turned away. No reason to broadcast to the world how desperate I was.

Throughout the night, my cup was refilled a few times, but I was in the zone and didn’t pay much attention to who was filling it.

That was a mistake.

When I needed a drink, it was there, and that was all I cared about. Anytime I was spinning, the world around me started to fade away until it was just me and the vibrations bouncing from the speakers. People came by to make requests or chat me up, but I didn’t engage much. It was too easy for me to lose focus. Besides, I wasn’t here to participate in the action. I was here to entertain and make sure everyone else had a great time. That was the deal.

As the crowd maxed out, it got hot enough that I was sweating through the snug crop top I was wearing that featured my favorite puppet. They needed to either limit tickets next time or run it over two days because this kind of crowd was too much for the space.

The cup of milk beside me was full, so I chugged it down and then went back to queuing up the next track.

It wasn’t until it had a second to sit on my tongue that I realized the milk tasted funny. Not bad, but maybe a little bitter. Milk never tasted exactly the same. What the Daddies ate that day played a huge part in how it hit my tongue. I half wondered if they’d been snacking on pickles all day.

I glanced at the milk Daddies on the couches and saw Jason was still there and talking to someone who was about to take a turn with him. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t jealous. As much as I enjoyed his milk in the sippy, I’d have been thrilled to drink it directly from him.

A third milk Daddy had shown up at some point, but I didn’t know who he was. Honestly, I didn’t much care about him or the other one. They didn’t look like my type, but Jason definitely was.

If I ever got a Daddy, I’d want him to look like that. Preferably with on-demand milk as yummy as his.

Right as the dance floor was starting to clear out a bit, I started to feel sleepy. Sleepier than was reasonable in a room full of flashing lights and EDM. My head was fuzzy, and I missed a transition, something I never did. Worse than that, people noticed. Several glared in my direction and gave me some serious side-eye. I managed to recover quickly and get the next track going, but it was embarrassing.

Something wasn’t right.

Blinking didn’t help because it made me dizzy instead of shaking off the fog. I reached for my milk cup, but it was empty for the first time that night. Weird, but given how late it was, it made sense. There were a lot of people here and not a ton of supply.

I looked around for Mark, but he wasn’t in sight, so my eyes went to where Jason had been sitting. There were still some people lingering around the couches, but he wasn’t looking at them.

He was looking at me.

Right. At. Me.

I swayed and switched the mixer to an auto-playlist, needing to take a minute to breathe. Why was the room spinning? I looked for Jason again, but he wasn't on the couch anymore.

He was right in front of me. "Hey there.” He reached for my arm and steadied me. “Are you okay?"

"Um…maybe?" I squeezed my eyes shut but that made me more dizzy. “Maybe not…”
