And it wasn’t going to work. Not tonight, anyway.

“You’re not going to do shit.” I shot off quickly with a click of my tongue.

“What the fuck–” Silas snarled. “You think I can’t?”

I gradually sensed my return to Earth, to my body, and to control. Right now, I had to maintain power to prevent my panic from setting in. So, I took a deep breath once. Twice. I relaxed the tension in my arms and steadied my body. I opened my eyes and confronted Silas’s fixation.

Ordinarily, I would’ve conceded that the intimidation act was fucking attractive as hell. Had my mind not played tricks, I’d be all in. For now, I needed to keep myself sane by taking this situation into my own hands.

Fine, you want to play? I thought. Let’s play.

“Do it then, Silas,” I whispered.

I took a moment to savor the dumbfounded expression I received from him. Although I had almost forgotten about their existence, the two thugs behind Silas grew uncomfortably quiet. They continued to mumble to each other, looking back at us hastily. They shifted nervously, unsure of where to place their gaze, but all too understanding that they looked completely out of place here in the alley behind the bar. I smirked and pulled Silas closer until our groins were touching, and placed my lips to his neck, dragging my tongue across the pale skin.

Silas barely made a sound. “W-What?” he stammered.

I pressed feather light kisses to his jaw, my buzz trickling up my cheeks. I was starting to feel numb. “Take me. I want you to. Here. Now.”

I rather enjoyed playing games like this, it was true. I loved to call the shots. I loved to have potential partners writhing at my feet. Being in charge made me feel like I could push the rest of the terror away. The shit that no one saw. The nightmare fuel that I hid behind my eyes.

I could hear Silas’s nervous swallow and see the beads of sweat beginning to form on his brow. His eyes darted to the two men behind us. “But–” he began with a shaky breath.

I let out a chuckle and raised my eyebrows. “Are you scared of what they would think?” I gestured with open arms. “Maybe we could all just fuck out here, huh?”

“Noah,” Silas warned with a low growl.

I angled my head over his shoulder, catching the eyes of one of his hires. “What do you two say?” I called out sarcastically, feeling absolutely wanton. “Interested in an alley way gang bang?”

The taller of the two remained silent and looked away, while the other’s lips curled into a snarl. “Never in a million fucking years,” he spat.

I flinched and looked back at Silas dramatically. “Oops, guess I offended them.” I said with a lift of my shoulders.

“Fuck you, Hansen,” Silas ground out through clenched teeth. He was embarrassed, but he didn’t pull away from me. His face was a mixture of anger and lust, an expression I was familiar with. He tensed against me, his grip finally loosening. I heard his heart pounding louder and louder in his chest.

My lips curved up into a sneer.

Now, I have you.

“Well, if you insist,” I said.

Without thinking any longer, I grabbed Silas’s collar, pulling him into me and forcing his mouth open with mine. I am going to claim every part of it, I decided heatedly. He didn’t resist—I had no doubt that he would. We continued our forbidden dance unabashedly.

Without warning, Silas whirled me around. My head was still reeling from the kiss as my right hand and cheek met the solid, brick wall and Silas’s chest and body pinned me from behind. Hands wrapped quickly and roughly around my waist. When I looked down, I saw that Silas had already started taking off his belt and undoing his own pants.

“Wait over by the car,” he snapped over his shoulder to his groupies.

Ah, shit.

I inhaled sharply. This was not as I planned. All the coaxing in the world would’ve never convinced me that Silas would go this far, considering the audience.

“Wait, wait–” I couldn’t breathe as his hands slipped down my pants, the belt emitting a sharp clang as it hit the asphalt beneath us.

It was all going so fast.

I was affixed between Silas’s body and the wall, one of my arms caught behind me as if I was being arrested. My other weakly scratched for traction against the brick. Silas’s knee forced my legs apart from behind, his chest anchoring into my back to keep me immobile.

I shivered at the feel of Silas’s beard grazing my ear.
