Oscar fell silent as her claws dug deeper, silencing him. Her path to the front door was clear, and she tilted her chin up to Oscar’s ear, wrenching his head close to mouth. “Walk.”

Oscar walked forward stiffly and awkwardly, his gait uneven as he made his way between the desks.

Susie held her breath as she tried to keep her grip on him. Everything depended on the omegas valuing their ringleader’s life over their own greedy vendetta.

She was so focused on peering over her shoulder to ensure the omegas didn’t sneak up behind her that her attention slipped from Oscar.

It was a critical error.

Golden light engulfed Oscar as he transformed into his wolf form, shifting so rapidly that he practically vanished from in front of her. One of her hands was still hooked into his now-furry arm, which was rapidly morphing into a leg. She couldn’t get her claws free in time and she was dragged down as he transformed, throwing her off balance.

She tried desperately to retract her claws, but they were tangled in his muscle and gnarly fur, which was as matted as his human hair had been.

As Oscar turned around, she fell hard onto her knees.

Before she knew it, rough hands grabbed her shoulders and dragged her back towards the rear of the classroom.

Susie was too frightened to scream as Oscar prowled after them, his teeth bared in contempt.

By the time the omegas slammed her back against the wall, she was shaking, and Oscar had transformed back into human form.

“You’ll fucking pay for this right now,” he seethed, waving his bloodied arm in her face. He seized her jaw painfully with his other hand and tilted her chin up sharply, even though he wasn’t tall enough to warrant it.

Sickening nausea flooded her system as his leering face hovered inches from hers.

She tried to push him off, but the two other omegas in human form kept her pinned against the wall.

“Don’t do this,” she stammered. “Please.”

Oscar’s cruel smile widened in a toothy grin, his voice dropping low as his rancid breath played across her face. “It’s too late for that, Susie. I’m going to bend you over the desk and fuck you so hard, you’ll regret becoming the headmaster’s little whore.”

“No! Please…”

“And when you black out, I’m going to fuck your throat until you choke on it and vomit all over the floor.”

The telltale acid churned and burnt her throat as real, true fear gripped her. She stared into the omegas’ eyes, searching for some sign of humanity or compassion.

There was none.

Only vile hatred mixed with hungry lust.

She opened her mouth to scream, hoping someone would hear her, but Oscar’s mouth crashed against hers, muffling her cry in a slobbery assault, which left her feeling more violated than anything he’d done to her previously.

Suddenly, a deep voice thundered through the room. “Stop.”

Chapter 23

Lies and Disbelief

Susie

Oscar hastily broke the kiss at the same time that the omegas released her.

Susie gasped for air, reaching to wipe her mouth as the wolves scattered to the room’s peripheries, giving her a clear view of the newcomer.

Arken.

Relief washed through her at the sight of him, standing solid and dignified in a dark suit. His expression was ashen, his words carrying a hard edge as he addressed the omegas. “Don’t you dare touch her.”
