I shook my head and dug into my food, clearing my plate almost as quickly as the guys had this time.
“We’ll handle dishes,” Kai said. “Since you cooked.”
“Then we can help you out with chores, Tillie,” Dean offered. I wasn’t going to turn down any help. Especially since it was time to clean out the stalls. I’d spared them until now.
Shockingly enough, there were no protests, though Jack did have to tie a bandana around his nose after a round of gagging. My farm was small enough that with three people, it didn’t take long to clear the stalls out and lay out fresh bedding.
After showers and everyone changing clothes, we were ready to face the courthouse. With the police filing their report and an omega being involved, I hoped it wasn’t a painful process.
“Can I help you?” the beta receptionist asked as we walked in.
“We need to file paperwork for a restraining order,” I explained, giving her a quick but vague rundown of the incident and stalking.
“This is the form you need,” she said as she printed off a paper and handed it over. “Fill it out. Everyone signs it. Be as detailed as possible and also include that there’s a police report on file. With what you told me, I don’t foresee this being a long process. But we’ll be in touch.”
I took the offered pen and sat down in the waiting area, filling it out before we each added our names and contact information. I’d also included the family lawyer’s number. He’d hopefully handle it from here.
While they took turns, I shot a text off to my mom.
Tillie
Hey can you contact our lawyer and tell him to be on the lookout for a court filing? The pack and I filled out a restraining order against that creep.
Mom
Good. I’ll tell him to make sure he scares the little asshole.
Tillie
Dean already did that as they manhandled him out of the place with half the damn town.
Mom
He’s just a pathetic man. You’re getting better dick than he could ever give.
“Oh my god,” I laughed quietly as I tucked the phone away just as Aiden was about to hand the form back to me.
“What happened?” Aiden asked.
“Just my mother being her outrageous self. She’s letting the lawyer know about this so he may be able to handle the rest of this on our behalf,” I explained. Aiden looked nervous enough. Hopefully, we didn’t need a whole legal proceeding to add to it.
I turned in the paperwork and rushed us outside, ready to be in the sunshine for a moment, and put this behind us.
A deep breath did me wonders and I could feel the tension in my shoulders draining away and smiled when I felt a hand intertwine with my own.
Looking over, I saw Jack was holding my hand with a sweet smile on his face.
“Didn’t you have a few things you wanted to get while we were in town?” I asked and he nodded in agreement.
“We’re going to leave that to you two,” Dean announced, pressing a quick kiss to my temple. “The rest of us are going to swing by our other place and make sure everything is in good working order. Maybe set up a workspace so we aren’t overcrowding the house with all the electronics.”
“And grab a few more of our things we’ve needed to bring over,” Kai added.
“Along with a store run for some coffee and energy drinks,” Aiden added, more to the other guys than me.
They all kissed me goodbye and left for the SUV with a promise to call when they were done, so they could pick us up.
“Looks like you have me to yourself, alpha,” I grinned up at Jack. “Reminds me of the night we met.”
