I’m putting my phone on silent.

Kai

Do you need a snuggle buddy, beta? I promise I’m great at it.

There was no response for a few minutes so then Kai’s name popped up again.

Kai

Sounds like a yes to me. I’m coming!

Aiden

Don’t you dare.

A loud yell, similar to a war cry, sounded that I could hear even in the garage that had me laughing and shaking my head. It didn’t last long and I knew that if I went in there Aiden would grumpily be surrounded by Kai who had wrapped himself around the other beta. Kai would be smiling and snuggled in, while Aiden would be trying to act like he hated it as he finally fell asleep.

My pack was a mess in the best way possible. Maybe I was nervous to introduce them to my crazy family but I was more than a little sad that we didn’t get to meet this mysterious omega quite yet.

Istared down at my phone and tried not to let the hurt hit me. We barely knew each other and I knew the alpha wouldn’t do it on purpose.

I’m so sorry, my packmate just told me we have an obligation tonight. Could we do tomorrow instead?

Tillie

Oh, no big deal, stuff happens. I’m free tomorrow, too.

Ugh, and the alpha was so damn sweet that I couldn’t really be upset. I knew I was being unreasonable.
