“True, but if I ever had a hall pass, it would be Tom,” Harlee says.

“Be so for real, you wouldn’t sleep with him. You would just want to listen to him talk and hear everything he has to say about whatever you can get him to spill.” Kaitlyn chuckles.

“Again, not wrong. I don’t want him romantically. I just think it’s adorable that he’s a franchise’s worst nightmare. The guy is always saying things he shouldn’t.” Harlee smirks.

“I feel like this is the most random conversation I’ve ever walked in on,” Charise, one of the sweetbutts, says.

Rachel, another sweetbutt, shakes her head. “No, you missed the whole ingrown toenail discussion on whether a nail tech should be able to remove them during a pedicure or if you have to go to the doctor. That was random.”

“Still team nail salon!” Tara says, raising her hand.

“You guys are weird,” Charise says, walking away.

“We’re weird but properly dicked down!” Tara yells.

“Don’t rub your good sex lives in our faces. That’s just rude,” Rachel teases.

Kaitlyn scoffs. “Please, we both know you don’t have any issues getting laid. You just have to say ‘when,’ and one of the single brothers will snatch you right up.”

“True, but I don’t know if you’ve noticed there isn’t a whole lot of single brothers left. Well, at least the ones who aren’t younger than me,” Rachel says.

“Hey, you could always go for a younger guy. Loyal, one of the brothers from San Antonio, his old lady is older than him,” Kaitlyn says.

Rachel winces. “That doesn’t even sound like something I would remotely be interested in. But seriously, good for her. All the power to her.”

“We veered so far off track from movies.” Natalie laughs.

“Evelyn, isn’t that you?” Charise asks, pointing at the TV.

I turn, shocked to see my employee picture from the hospital up on the screen.

Tara grabs the remote, turning it up quickly.

“…patient that was killed early last week. The hospital has made a statement that there is an internal investigation going on and they cannot reveal any details until it has concluded, but we have the scoop from an inside confidential source.”

Tara pauses the screen.

I scream, angry, “What the fuck?”

“Hades, Reaper. Get out here!” Natalie starts yelling as she heads to the church doors.

They open a moment later. All of the brothers filter out.

“What’s going on?” Hades asks, coming to my side.

I look up at him, my body vibrating. “Someone leaked my information.” I nod to the screen.

“What the fuck. Trigger?” Hades growls.

“Already on it.”

Within seconds, he has taken over the TV, showing us the full segment. When it gets to the confidential source, I narrow my eyes.

“Their voice is distorted to protect their identity,” the newscaster says.

Then it cuts to a silhouette of a person.

“Evelyn is a great doctor. She had so much potential, but she got involved with one of those biker gangs. They started showing up, and it all went downhill. Truth be told, the patient she was treating was connected to the mayor. They are collecting proof now to prove that she murdered the patient on behalf of the Lotus MC.”
