“He is handsome, though.”
“He looks a lot like his brothers. They’re all half-brothers; it’s sort of messy. I haven’t met the oldest one, but…” he trailed off.
“Things are still being fixed with Riggs. Be patient. And if you’re dating one of the brothers, I’m sure you’ll meet the rest sooner or later.”
“You’re too smart to only be twenty-seven.”
“Thirty before you know it. I’ve got to go, though, a little wrapped up in something at the moment. Are you good?”
“Always.”
They said their goodbyes and before Toren could stop himself, he sent a text message to Andrew.
Can I ask you something?
It took fifteen minutes for Andrew to answer.
Andrew
Sorry, work. Yes. Ask me everything.
Well, if I have a free pass, what’s your favorite color?
Blue.
Drink?
Mexican Coke.
Are you going to delete your ONS profile?
Instead of a text response, Toren got a phone call.
He answered with a breathy laugh, “Good morning.”
“Yes,” Andrew said instead of hello, rustling in the background. “I’m deleting it right now. Are you deleting yours?”
“I don’t have one.”
“Not that the how of it matters, but how did you know I had one if you don’t?”
“I was telling a friend about you, and he told me,” Toren admitted.
He could hear the smile in Andrew’s voice when he said, “Already telling your friends about me?”
“How could I not tell them about the man who got on his knees and begged me for a date?” Toren’s cheeks were still flushed from his call with Donovan and were not getting any better with Andrew.
“God, I would do so much more than get on my knees and beg for you. All you have to do is ask.” Andrew’s voice was low, like a whisper, and Toren’s lashes fluttered.
Maybe Donovan was right about the adrenaline of indecency because his blood burned just as hot for this conversation as it had over the weekend when they talked about the cheating before taking each other to bed.
“I’ll make a list for the weekend,” he said softly.
“Please do. But to your original point, the profile is gone. You can ask your friend to check if you want.”
“I trust you.”
The three words came out quickly and Andrew made a surprised noise at the sound of them. For a breath, neither of them said anything, but then Andrew told him, “This weekend feels like it’s a lifetime away.”
