“Angel.” Jett says, getting my attention.
I turn to him, and he clears his throat nervously.
“I need to do this before I lose my nerve. I’m going to give you my journal and I want you to read as much or as little as you want to.”
He wipes his hands on his pants, as if his palms are sweaty. His fingers twitch slightly as he continues.
“It’s probably going to disgust you, but you need to know how I became the person I am. Well, was. I didn’t get there on my own. If you read this, you’ll at least know what I was running from on the day that I stuck a needle in my vein for the first time.”
“Are you sure?” I ask because this seems like an invasion of privacy, even though he’s handing it to me.
He nods, “It’ll be easier for me if you read it and I don’t have to tell you everything.”

My brain won’t fucking stop. I’m crawling out of my skin. If Geoff tells me one more time to talk it through, I’m going to hurt him.

I’m supposed to write how this began. Why I picked up the drugs in the first place. It’s too much. I would rather die than to think about it.

I can’t call her. She’s the only thing to numb the pain other than heroin. I begged, I pleaded, and then I threw shit. Still, he says I can’t talk to Mia until I’m following the plan so I’m leaving. This is fucking bullshit.
