“You look really good, Jett.” She says as she sits with her hand around her glass before taking a sip of water.
“Oh this old thing?” I say as a joke but she shakes her head.
“No. You. I don’t know what I expected, but you look healthy and healthy looks good on you.”
The waitress comes and sets two plates in front of us, and I wonder if she’ll be annoyed that she didn’t get to order for herself, but she doesn’t say anything.
“What’s that?” she asks, pointing at my journal sitting on the end of the table.
“That’s for after dinner.” I say after swallowing past the lump in my throat.
We eat in silence for a little while. I watch her eat because I don’t want to miss anything. I want to soak up every second she’s giving me.
I wonder momentarily how she’s doing with her own issues. Mia is probably a size twelve now if I had to guess, but regardless of what she thinks, she’s not fat. My angel has curves now and I love it. I don’t think there has been a day in her life she wasn’t beautiful, but I do think she was far too thin before. I still wanted her, but the model industry keeps women entirely too frail in appearance. Most models are one missed meal from withering away with the wind. I like a woman that looks strong and well taken care of. I prefer her with meat on her bones, but I don’t think it’s right for a man to comment on a woman’s weight, no matter what the opinion is, so I’ve not said anything to her.
Staring down at her food as she eats, Mia avoids eye contact. Reaching across the table, I take her free hand in mine. She glances up at me, and I have to fight the urge to kiss the life out of her. It’s what I want desperately, but not here and not like this. We have things to work through before I get what I want. I’m so used to instant gratification, patience is virtually unknown to me.
“Thank you for coming, Angel. It means a lot.”
She giggles softly after swallowing her chicken.
“I would stay here with you if they’d let me.”
I groan as I shift in my seat, one thought of her in my bed making me hard as a rock.
“That's the kind of therapy I could get on board with.”
The blush that immediately flushes her cheeks does nothing to calm my erection, if anything it makes me harder. God dammit ‘Jett Junior’ down boy, now is not the time.
“Is that a journal? I’m wondering why you brought it to dinner.”
Well, that did it..now my dick is soft.
She places her fork on her plate, signaling that she’s finished as I clear my throat.
“Let's take a walk and I’ll explain.”
We both stand, I grab the book and ask about her purse.
“I left it in the car. It was easier than dealing with it being searched.”
Placing my arm around her waist, I hold her close to me as we walk outside. Geoff approaches us and holds the door open with a smile and a nod.
“If you need me, Jett, I’ll be here late tonight.”
Mia looks at me with curiosity and I say, “My therapist.”

Chapter Twenty-Eight
MIA
We sit on the bench and I look around. The property is massive with so many trees and endless grass. It’s serene and perfect for anybody that needs to get out of their head for a while. The air is fresh unlike the city that’s filled with pollution from all the cars and factories.
