He chose to let me think he was in the pole room with other women.

He chose not to explain to me where his head was at.

He chose not to be with me and to make sure everyone knew our marriage was in name only.

He chose to rush off to Jade, leaving me feeling left behind.

He chose to let my sister think she had the upper hand over me.

No one made him take my virginity and then put distance between us.

Suit made all of these choices for himself. And now he’s kneeling in front of me, slate-gray eyes full of regret and guilt, and an apology on his skillful tongue.

He slides two fingers inside me and curls them, while he continues to suck on my clit. He knows how to make me come. He did it enough times during our one night together.

“Fuck, Suit,” I whimper, my fingers clutching his sheets, holding on for dear life while he reminds me just how good we can be together.

“That’s it, come for me,” he growls.

The pressure increases until I explode with his name on my lips. The whole clubhouse can probably hear me, but I can’t stop myself. The pleasure is so intense, all background noise is muted. There’s only us and this moment.

“Fuck, baby. You squirted all over me. So fucking sexy,” he rasps, glancing up at me with dark, hungry eyes. “Let me clean you up.”

I don’t know what he means until he licks up my release, slowly, growling at my taste.

When he’s finished, he helps me get dressed and pulls me into his arms, against his hard chest.

“You still want to go back?” he asks in a low tone.

I nod. “Yes, I need to think.”

His fingers tighten around me. “Okay, princess. I’ll give you until tomorrow.”

“You’ll give me as much time as I need,” I reply, narrowing my eyes.

He sighs and runs his palms down my back. “I love you, Elena. Come back to me. Be my old lady.”

“I love you, too, Suit,” I reply, glancing up at him. “Which is why all of this hurts so much.”

“Baby,” he whispers, his voice catching.

I smile sadly at him and leave his bedroom.

When I see Angel standing at the door, arms crossed over his chest, I stop in front of him. “Hey.”

“You okay?” he asks, and I nod.

His dark eyes suddenly dance with amusement. “His mouth wasn’t good enough to make you stay? I’ll have to let him know that.”

“How did you know… You know what? Never mind. I don’t want to know.”

He laughs. “You leaving?”

“Yeah, heading back to Alexei’s.”

He nods. “Come on, I’ll walk you to your car.”

Side by side, we walk outside through the parking lot and toward the big iron gates. “He claimed you in church, before he found the pregnancy test. It’s not about the baby, Elena. It’s about you. I’ve never seen Suit be so affected by a woman before. It’s why he struggled so much.”
