Instead, I get out of the car and storm toward the clubhouse. Suit catches up to me just as I walk through the doors. His hand shoots out and hooks around my waist, turning me around. My palms land on his chest.

“I don’t want your fucking sister, Elena,” he grits out, his throat working as he swallows. “I let them speak because I wanted to know what they had planned. She just touched my hand, not my dick.”

I’m about to tell him he can go fuck himself when Angel walks up, his body full of tension. “Suit, we have a problem.”

“What?” Suit snaps at him, not taking his eyes off mine. “I have my hands full right now.”

“You’re about to,” Angel replies, dark eyes softening when they land on me. “Jade is here. She’s sitting at the bar waiting for you.”

He lets go of me. “What the fuck did you just say?”

Jade?

Who the hell is Jade?

“I know,” Angel mutters, a muscle working in his jaw.

Suit storms off, and Angel and I follow behind. “Who is Jade?”

“His ex,” Angel says after a moment.

“The one who was his old lady? Why would she be coming here now?” Like I didn’t have enough on my plate, now his ex is coming into the picture?

When we get to the bar, Suit is already there talking to her.

I don’t step farther into the room. I watch them from the door, with Angel’s warm, hard body at my back.

She’s everything I’m not.

Dark hair and eyes.

Slender, willowy figure.

Giant boobs. She’s both elegant, slutty, and every man’s goddamn dream.

And when she gets off the stool and walks toward the pole room, Suit follows her without so much as a glance back at me, and my heart breaks even further.

“I’m going to my room,” I tell Angel, forcing a smile.

“Elena—”

“I’ll be okay,” I call out over my shoulder, not wanting him to follow me.

Pulling out my phone, I send a text message. One that I never wanted to send.

Elena

I need to get out of here. Please come get me.

SUIT

What a shit show of a day.

Prez wanted me to see what Simeon was up to and get as much information out of them as possible, so I let them talk. Fun fact—if you stay silent, most people get uncomfortable and keep talking. So I stayed quiet.

Inside, I was fuming. I already knew Elena would never be coming back here. These people are not her family. No one even bothered to hug her or ask how she was. Seeing firsthand how she has been treated her entire life made me feel sick, especially knowing how I treated her when I first brought her to the clubhouse. She deserves so much more, and she’s going to get it.

Then to come back home and see Jade here after years—worst timing ever. I just want to get rid of her so I can finish my conversation with Elena and make things right.
