I stare at her.

“Arsen’s brother.”

For a second, I genuinely don’t understand the words.

“No.”

Santo steps closer to the screen. “I checked him.”

“So did I.”

“I checked every new person you brought in after Florida,” Santo says. “There was nothing connecting Tiago to Sarkisian.”

“He’s his half-brother,” Ayla says. “Same father. Different mothers. Santi usually uses his mother’s last name.”

I look at the man on my screen.

He lived in my house.

He worked around Elena.

Around Valentina.

Around my wife.

And I brought him inside.

Ayla suddenly reaches for her phone. “Wait.”

Korsakov looks at her. “What?”

“He gave me his number before he left for Florida.”

“You think he’s going to pick up now, Beda?”

“Why wouldn’t he?”

“Because he knows you’re with Korsakov,” I say. “He’ll know exactly why you’re calling.”

“So?”

She unlocks her phone.

Santo shakes his head. “Even if he answers, he’s not going to tell us where he is.”

“We don’t know that.”

“Ayla—”

“What are we supposed to do? Not call him?”

She’s already dialing.

Korsakov exhales but doesn’t stop her.
